Rock – In an effort to improve organizational quality and institutional recognition, the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Dr. Begum Fauziyah, M.Farm., provided a series of important directives to all Student Organization (Ormawa) leaders. The directives were delivered during a coordination meeting held at Luffy Dream, Monday (April 27, 2026), as guidelines for implementing work programs for the remainder of the current fiscal year.

Dr. Begum emphasized that student organizations are not just a place to gather, but rather a professional instrument that must have an orderly managerial system, especially in terms of archiving and reporting.

Digitalization of Archives and Speed of Reporting

One of the key points emphasized was the importance of digitizing archives through an online system. Dr. Begum instructed the creation of a dedicated data link to document all student organization activities and student delegation data. This aims to systematically document student achievements and activities.

Specifically, he recommended that the Student Senate (SEMA) be responsible for managing and backing up the archived data so that coordination is centralized within the student legislative body. Regarding administrative discipline, he emphasized that accountability reports (LPJ) for both internal and delegated activities must be completed no later than seven days after the activity concludes (H+7).

Optimization of Delegated Funds

Regarding financial support for student achievement, the dean's office assured that delegation funds remain available and will be disbursed based on the faculty's existing funding capacity. Dr. Begum recommended that each student organization submit its annual event plan early. This proactive step is necessary so that the faculty can map out delegation support quotas more evenly and proportionally for each organization.

He also reminded that the budget period has a certain time limit, so the effectiveness of the use of funds outside the specified period must be a serious concern for student organization leaders.

Program Innovation: Engaging Alumni and Industry

Following up on a note from the Vice Rector III of UIN Malang, Dr. Begum encouraged all student organizations to actively involve alumni in all activities, both offline and online. "Alumni involvement is crucial so they can have a direct impact on their juniors, both as mentors and partners," he emphasized.

Additionally, student organizations are directed to design activities oriented toward student career advancement, such as collaborations with the industrial sector or related agencies. This is expected to shorten the waiting period for graduates to find relevant employment.

Publication and Real Implementation

To broaden the publicity of achievements, Dr. Begum reminded student organization leaders to utilize the publication facilities provided by the university and faculty. For faculty members, student organization administrators can coordinate with student affairs units one day after the event so that documentation of the event can be promptly published in news format.

Concluding her remarks, Dr. Begum emphasized that the results of this discussion should not remain merely notes on paper. She demanded concrete implementation of every agreed-upon point. "The results of this discussion must be implemented to consistently have a positive impact on the FKIK environment," she concluded.

This meeting ended with a joint commitment from the leaders of student organizations to immediately carry out internal improvements in accordance with the directions that have been given for the progress of FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
