The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) carries out Block Learning Module Review Workshop and CSL This effort aims to strengthen alignment between learning modules and graduate profiles, Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), and Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK). This activity is a strategic step to ensure that the material developed remains relevant to the needs of medical education and the ever-changing development of science.

This year's module reviews were conducted more intensively due to the need to adapt to the latest curriculum. This updating process ensured that learning did not deviate from established curriculum achievement standards. This way, students could receive more accurate, comprehensive material that aligned with the competency requirements of the medical profession.

The workshop began with an explanation of the objectives and the importance of linking the modules to graduate profiles, CPL, and CPMK. The event continued with presentations from resource persons, module review sessions by each lecturer, presentations of study results, and the development of follow-up module revisions. All stages concluded with the alignment of implementation plans for the following semester.

The study program presented Drg. Citra Insany Irgananda, M.Med.Ed., an expert in medical education and curriculum development based on learning outcomes, as a resource person for this activity. According to Dr. drg. Anik Listiyana, M.Biomed., AHK., the workshop chair, this selection of speakers was appropriate.

“"Drg. Citra was chosen because of her competence in medical education, expertise in developing learning outcomes-based curricula (CPL and CPMK), and effective module development. Her experience will greatly assist lecturers in designing modules that not only meet educational standards but also have a direct impact on the quality of student learning," said Dr. drg. Anik.

However, a number of challenges also colored the implementation process, including aligning lecturers' perceptions regarding the curriculum based on learning outcomes, limited time to review the modules comprehensively, and the need for consistent standards between blocks so that students obtain a uniform learning experience.

Through this workshop, the study program targets several important changes to the module, ranging from a more focused formulation based on the CPMK, concise and easy-to-understand presentation of material, to the implementation of an active learning approach. Furthermore, the updated module is expected to incorporate the latest scientific developments, thereby providing added value to improving student competency. Overall, the module updates are expected to enhance the learning experience and the effectiveness of student learning outcomes.

After the workshop is completed, the study program will immediately follow up on the results of the activity by revising the module according to recommendations, conducting internal validation, implementing the new module in the next semester, and monitoring the effectiveness of the module in supporting the achievement of CPMK and CPL.

Dr. drg. Risma Aprinda Kristanti, M.Sc. as the head of the medical education study program at FKIK UIN Malang, hopes that this workshop will make it easier for students to understand the goals and goals in each course.

“"The hope is that when students open the module, they will have a clear understanding of the learning objectives they hope to achieve. Furthermore, this module review will help students focus effectively on the course," said Dr. drg. Risma.

Through this module review, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences hopes to produce more relevant, structured, and meaningful teaching materials for students. Furthermore, the module improvements are expected to improve the quality of the learning process, thus better preparing graduates to face the demands of the workplace and future developments in the medical profession.
