Malang, August 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held its annual Academic Meeting to discuss the direction of the faculty's academic development for the next five years. The coordination meeting was attended by the entire FKIK academic community, including the dean's office, lecturers, and representatives from each study program.

Important Aspirations of the Study Program
In her remarks, the Dean of FKIK, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M.Kes., Sp.Rad(K), conveyed a request for direction to the Vice Rector 1 of UIN Malang, Drs. H. Basri Zain, MA, Ph.D., regarding academic development strategies, especially for FKIK. In response, the Vice Rector 1 stated that his visit was to accommodate the aspirations of each study program. He promised to study each input in depth before providing concrete solutions, considering the importance of considering university policies.

A number of important aspirations were conveyed at the meeting:
- Physician Professional Education Study Program (PSPD): Represented by **dr. Kristiyaji* and *dr. Dobby, PSPD emphasized the urgency of building a **Teaching Hospital*. This facility is considered very vital to support teaching and learning activities, especially for lecturer practice and a place for medical professional students to practice.
- Pharmacy Study Program: The Head of the Pharmacy Study Program, Mr. Hakim, highlighted two main issues: the fulfillment of human resources (HR), especially regarding the lecturer-student ratio, and the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure* as the main support for academic activities.
- Vice Dean 1 of FKIK, Prof. Dr. apt. Roihatul Muti'ah. SF, M.Kes.: Submitted a strategic proposal for the establishment of an independent Faculty of Pharmacy*, which is expected to be immediately processed and realized by the university leadership.
University Leadership Commitment
In response to the various inputs, Vice Rector I, Drs. H. Basri Zain, welcomed all the aspirations conveyed. He emphasized his commitment to studying each proposal cooperatively, with the hope that these aspirations can be realized soon for the advancement of FKIK and UIN Malang as a whole. This coordination meeting is expected to be a crucial momentum for introducing new innovations, especially considering the changes in officials at the university level.
