The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang held a Journalism & Multimedia Workshop with the theme "Improving Journalistic Investigation Skills: Towards Effective and Accurate News" on Friday, June 23, 2023. The event was held in the multipurpose hall of the Ibnu Thufail building from 8 am to 3 pm. This workshop also served as a recruitment event for the FKIK Press Team for the third period. The event was attended by Deputy Dean 1 Prof. Dr. apt. Roihatul Mutiah, SF., M.Kes, invited lecturers and staff from faculty units, and representatives of FKIK Student Organizations.

The event opened with the song Indonesia Raya, the FKIK March, and the FKIK hymn, the recitation of the holy Quran by Khoiron Nur Khoim (Pharmacy 2020), and welcoming remarks. The first welcome was delivered by Mrs. apt. Fathia Faza Rahmadanita, S.Farm., M.Farm.Klin. She thanked all the speakers, participants, and invited guests for their attendance and participation in the workshop. Mrs. Fathia also explained that the purpose and objective were to improve the journalism and multimedia skills of students, lecturers, and staff. She also explained that the purpose of the invited guests was to establish cooperation in terms of reporting activities organized by the faculty units and FKIK student organizations.

The next speech, which also opened the event, was delivered by Prof. Dr. apt. Roihatul Mutiah, SF., M.Kes. The ease of access to knowledge has developed very rapidly over time. According to Professor Iha, this workshop is one form of ease in obtaining knowledge in the current era. The multimedia material was presented by Ms. Miftakhul Mukarromatun Nisa', assisted by Ms. Wiwit SN, and moderated by Sari Dewi Setyowati (Pharmacy 2021).
