MALANG – Students of the Faculty of Medical Education at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang have a health organization engaged in field medical services, health education, and humanitarianism, namely the Rhazes Medical Team (RMT). As an effort to prepare and professionalize during medical treatment in the community, the RMT of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held a training activity that opened on April 26, 2026 and continued with a material simulation on May 9, 2026.

The theme of this training activity is Medical Response in Disaster This program will teach members how to save the lives of workers and members of the public with a series of rapid and responsive medical procedures to minimize mortality in emergency situations. This activity takes place on campus and aims to equip students with quick and accurate first aid techniques and, of course, the mental fortitude to face emergency situations.

Dr. Christyaji Indradmojo, Sp.EM as the supervisor of RMT UIN Malang in his remarks said that this simulation and training is a complementary bridge to the material taught in regular lectures.

“"This simulation complements what's taught in the formal curriculum. So, I wish you all the best in practicing all the simulated situations with different types of patients." A speech from the RMT organization's advisor, Dr. Christyaji Indradmojo, Sp.EM., in the second training activity.

Favian (PSPD 23) as the general chairman of RMT UIN Malang hopes that with this training, RMT members can learn better lessons from theory or direct simulations in the field.

“"With this training, let's learn from the presenters and practice directly. This will certainly broaden our medical skills," Favian said in his remarks.

Through this activity, it is hoped that each member has the same competency standards in providing first aid when entering the community. Furthermore, this activity also emphasizes the importance of medical ethics and team coordination. As a medical team that will eventually enter the community, RMT will remain committed to integrating humanitarian values with medical dexterity. With the implementation of this training activity, it is hoped that the Rhazes Medical Team will be increasingly prepared to be deployed in various university activities and community service, to provide a sense of security and optimal health services.
