Malang, August 19, 2023 – Guardians of new students from the Medicine and Pharmacy Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Malang gathered for the FKIK Academic Socialization event, which aimed to introduce various important aspects of the campus environment. The event, held on the 4th floor of the UIN Malang Campus 2 Shelter, was attended by guardians of new students and faculty leaders.

In an event titled "Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) Academic Socialization," Prof. Dr. apt. Roihatul Mutiah, SF., M.Kes., Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, presented a number of essential materials to the new students' guardians. The materials covered a wide range of topics, from collaborations and accreditation to the facilities and infrastructure within FKIK.

One key point discussed was the collaborations the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) has established with various hospitals and companies. Prof. Roihatul Mutiah revealed that FKIK has established a collaboration with Karsa Husada Hospital in Batu, its primary teaching hospital. This collaboration aims to provide students with real-world experiences in an educational environment similar to real-world medical practice.

In her presentation, Prof. Roihatul Mutiah also provided an overview of FKIK Campus 3, which will serve as a learning center for new students. The campus is located on Jl. Locari, Krajan, Tlekung, Junrejo District, Batu City, East Java 65151. FKIK Campus 3 offers modern and comprehensive facilities to support student learning and development.

UIN Malang has achieved Superior accreditation, with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) itself employing approximately 58 lecturers. This achievement reflects FKIK's commitment to providing high-quality education and teaching to students, which will indirectly shape reliable healthcare professionals.

One of the highlights of the socialization event was the question-and-answer session, which allowed parents to interact directly with faculty leaders. Ms. Susilowati, a student guardian from the Pharmacy Department, described the event as invaluable for parents new to the world of medical and pharmacy campuses. She noted that the information provided during the event was invaluable in providing the best possible support for their children.

With the same spirit, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang remains committed to providing the best education and knowledge to students, as well as building strong connections between the academic world and medical practice. This outreach program marks the first step for new students to explore the health path at FKIK Campus 3 and achieve success in the world of medicine and health sciences.
