Malang, August 5, 2025 – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang (FKIK UIN Malang) officially established a partnership with the Faculty of Dentistry of Brawijaya University (FKG UB). The signing of this partnership was carried out directly by Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, PW., M.Kes., Sp.Rad(K) as Dean of FKIK UIN together with Dr. drg. Yuanita Lely Rachmawati., M.Kes as Dean of FKG UB and attended by the heads of faculties and study programs, this event took place in Discussion Room 3.1, 3rd floor of the New Building of FKG UB.

This collaboration covers the Tridharma of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), namely education, research, and community service (pengmas), as well as strengthening the student sector. In the near future, concrete forms of this collaboration will be seen through the implementation of Outbound Mobility activities designed as part of the Independent Learning/Independent Campus (MBKM) program.

This Outbound Mobility program allows international students from the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine (FKIK) of UIN Malang to participate in the credit transfer program at the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of UB. Furthermore, various supporting activities, such as international seminars, student competitions, and student exchange programs, are also included in the joint agenda. Furthermore, the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of UB considers this activity to be Inbound Mobility, which will ultimately create synergy within the program.

“"We see great potential in the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine at UIN Malang, especially in the field of pharmacy, which is currently very active in research and publications. We hope that after this student activity is underway, opportunities for broader collaboration in research will open up," said the Dean of FKG UB in his remarks.

This collaboration initiative was born from the existence of an umbrella MoU between UIN Malang and Brawijaya University, and is supported by the geographical proximity of the two campuses which facilitates technical coordination and cross-institutional collaboration.

Both parties are optimistic that this synergy will strengthen academic networks and broaden students' horizons on a national and international scale.
