The International Pharmacy Ulul Albab Conference and Seminar (PLANAR) is a seminar initiated by the Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program, FKIK UIN Malang. This year marks the third year of PLANAR. Unlike previous years, which were successfully held online, this year's PLANAR is held offline. Furthermore, this year's PLANAR is held concurrently with the 2nd Maliki International Islamic & Science Expo (MIISE). The 3rd PLANAR and 2nd MIISE will be held at Campus 2 of the Postgraduate Shelter of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Jl. Raya Dadaprejo No. 143, Pendem, Junrejo District, Batu City, East Java 65233 on October 25-26, 2023.
Following the success of its first year, this year marks the second year of MIISE. MIISE is a seminar and expo held by the Center for the Study of the Integration of Islam and Science (PSIS), a unit under the auspices of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) of UIN Malang, which focuses on integrative activities between science and Islam. The expo featured several products related to the pharmaceutical and health sectors. The theme this time was "“Necessity of Building a Sustainable and Innovative Global Halal Ecosystem”". Thus, this year's speakers are more numerous and diverse in their fields due to the collaboration between PLANAR and MIISE. Naturally, the topics raised at the seminar will not stray far from the proposed theme.
“"The purpose of holding MIISE is to develop the halal ecosystem in Indonesia. This expo will include an exhibition and bazaar of halal products in Indonesia. Several science and technology-based products will also enliven the MIISE booth. Product categories for this year's expo include food and beverage products, pharmaceutical products, skincare, learning media products and software applications that can identify the halal status of a product, and so on," said apt. There are numerous benefits and outcomes to be gained from this event. Participants will gain experience at the Expo, exploring the development of halal products from both UIN Malang and other related institutions, as well as networking and connections across various backgrounds, given that participants come from various professions and even from abroad.
