Batu, November 30, 2025 - The Alumni Gathering of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is a routine event aimed at alumni of the Medical Education Study Program and the Undergraduate Study Program of Pharmacy UIN Malang. This gathering was attended by several leaders of FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, chaired by apt. Hajar Sugihantoro, MPH. The purpose of the alumni gathering is to form alumni who have an impact and strengthen bonds between alumni. This event also serves as a strategic space to convey the latest developments in the faculty, namely by introducing new branding FKIK UIN Malang logo, changes in leadership structure, and announcement of the establishment of new study programs.

The workshop opened with a report on the alumni association's work program for the 2023/2025 period by Apt. Agus Nurhasan, the general chairman of the alumni association for that period. "This association was first formed in October 2023 and the first workshop was held at the Bedengan Campground with the aim of forming an organization where at that time the mandate to become chairman was delegated to me," said Apt. Agus. He was very grateful to his friends who contributed to this association, which can shape alumni who have a positive impact on community life.

He also conveyed the work program that had been realized during one period, namely periodic management evaluations which were successfully carried out twice., sharing alumni in general on line on various social media platforms, facilitating student academic work, establishing alumni groups for each region, and creating and managing alumni association media. Additionally, there are work programs that have been planned but not yet implemented, namely: khotmil qur'an in a way on line even though they are already in the stage of looking for material but are hampered by their respective busy schedules, implementing scientific webinars from sustainable fields, making merchandise Some of which have been designed but are hampered by funding considerations from the alumni association, as well as community service that was planned for November 2024 which was then postponed to February 2025. "I realize that the failure to implement some of these work programs is not only due to inability to implement them, but part of the organizational dynamics, there are indeed several obstacles that have been previously conveyed. Therefore, we from the management, especially myself, humbly apologize to all of you for the shortcomings of this alumni association," said apt. Agus.

Appointee Agus's hope for the advancement of this alumni association is that it will foster a sense of camaraderie among alumni, strengthen the association, and consistently impact the faculty, despite the busy schedules of each individual. He hopes that the next period will enhance solidarity among fellow alumni and foster the formation of work programs with strong leadership qualities, ensuring effective implementation.

After submitting the report on the alumni association's work program for one period, it was continued with several resource persons who had carried out... sharing The first speaker, Dr. Reza Riandinata, M. Biomed, is a doctor currently working at Wava Husada General Hospital, Kesamben, Blitar, and several clinics in South Malang. He stated that becoming a healthcare professional requires a long period of study, from graduating with a bachelor's degree, completing a professional career, and undergoing internship. internship. Healthcare workers provide services to patients, treating them like consumers. "As the saying goes, the consumer is king," said Dr. Reza. Therefore, as a good healthcare worker, one should balance knowledge and patient care skills. Most importantly, healthcare workers should master the three essential pillars he outlined: education, communication, and effectiveness.

The second speaker is apt. Alfen Hidayat, S. Farm. Who will share his personal experience as a pharmacist. He works at Bangil Pasuruan Regional General Hospital. He said that hospitals are a place of practice for health workers, especially pharmacists, where the hospital is a place to practice clinical pharmacy sciences. After the first discussion, he succeeded in facilitating fellow alumni to work in hospitals through an MoU established between the faculty and the hospital where apt. Alfen works. "I am happy to see friends who are easy to enter the professional education of pharmacists, because before I had a very difficult time," he said. apt. Alfen works in inpatient care, so he can easily establish interactions and collaborations with other health workers. He hopes for a sense of togetherness from various health workers, which of course is also manifested from the alumni association of FKIK UIN Malang itself. dr. Reza and apt. apt. Hajar Sugihantoro, MPH, as the chairman of the alumni gathering this year, expressed his impressions and messages from the gathering that had been held. He was pleased with the enthusiasm of the alumni in participating in this gathering, which proved their love for their alma mater. Throughout the event, apt. Hajar felt a harmony in the discussion room so that they could easily unite their voices in the election of the chairman of the alumni association for the 2026/2028 period. "I hope that with the formation of the latest alumni association management structure, they can continue to shape alumni who have an impact on the community around them and have an impact on the academic community at FKIK UIN Malang," he said.
