The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held an Istighosah and Orphanage Charity event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of FKIK, held at the FKIK Auditorium, Ar-Rohim Building, 3rd Floor, Sunday (21/6/2026). The event, which took place from 08.00–10.00 WIB, was attended by the entire FKIK academic community, starting from the dean's office, lecturers, education staff, to students from six study programs within the faculty.

In her remarks, the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati Prabowowati Wadjib, M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K), said that the day was a special moment for the FKIK family because it had been ten years since the faculty was established. She expressed her gratitude for the rapid development of FKIK, starting from only three study programs at the beginning of its establishment, namely S1 Pharmacy, S1 Medicine, and Doctoral Profession, now it has grown to six study programs with the addition of Pharmacist Profession, S2 Biomedical, and S2 Pharmacy.

“"The 10th anniversary is not only a celebration of what has been achieved, but also a moment for reflection and gratitude," said Prof. Yuyun. He added that this achievement is the result of hard work, dedication, and collaboration from the entire academic community in realizing a FKIK that is superior, professional, and has integrity, and is grounded in Islamic values.

He further stated that the Orphanage Assistance activity served as a reminder that an institution's success is measured not only by academic achievement but also by its social awareness and contribution to the surrounding community. He also expressed his special hope that the orphans in attendance would be able to continue their education at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang.

“"The students here are witnesses to this faculty's journey. We hope the donations we receive will be a demonstration of the love, togetherness, and care of the FKIK family. May you be blessed with good health and ease in your studies, and we hope that one day, one or even all of you, can join us here," said the Dean of FKIK hopefully.

The series of activities began with a collective prayer of gratitude and prayer for the FKIK's decade-long journey, followed by a symbolic handover of donations to the orphans in attendance. The event was both emotional and warm, reflecting the spirit of caring and togetherness, one of the core values upheld by the FKIK UIN Malang family.

The Istighosah and Orphanage Donation activities are part of a series of events commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), and also serve as concrete evidence of the faculty's commitment to balancing academic achievement with social care for the community. Through these activities, FKIK UIN Malang hopes to continue to spread broader benefits, not only to the academic community, but also to the surrounding community, in line with the spirit of the faculty's decade-long journey towards becoming an increasingly superior institution at the national and international levels.
