Review of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) of the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Malang
In order to achieve quality indicators for all programs and activities carried out within the faculty environment over the past three years, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (FKIK UIN Malang) held an Internal Quality Assurance System Review (SPMI) in the areas of Learning, Research, and Community Service. The activity was packaged in the form of an RDK (on-campus meeting) which was held on Thursday (10/17/2020) in the multipurpose hall and mini hall Ibn Thufail Building, Faculty of Medicine, UIN Malang.
The activity was attended by 25 participants consisting of the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Study Program, Secretary of Study Program, representatives of the University Quality Assurance Institute, Faculty Quality Assurance Unit, FKIK Lecturers, Head of Division and Head of Sub-Division of FKIK and educational staff. The activity which took place from 13.00 to 19.00 WIB was divided into two sub-activities with two groups of participants and two different presenters. The first group was related to the review of SPMI Learning with reviewer Dr. H. Helmi Syaifuddin, M.Fil.I, while the second group was related to the review of SPMI Research and Community Service with reviewer Rosihan Aslihuddin, S.Sos., MAB.
The purpose of this activity is to review the standards of learning, research, and community service which include standards, key performance indicators, additional performance indicators, strategies, achievements and PIC. The standards and key performance indicators referred to are based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education, Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2013 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, the Development Master Plan, and the Strategic Plan of the FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang University.
             With the preparation of internal quality assurance standards for FKIK, at the strategy stage it is required to have ''‘take action’'' to achieve ''’output’'' desired as well as monitoring and evaluation in accordance with the PPEPP cycle in the SPMI Unggul Pendidikan Maju culture. The reviewers also explained QPI (quality performance indicators) to include additional performance indicators. It is hoped that with good SPMI management, a continuous quality improvement at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang. (Yenyen Ari Indrawijaya – Contributor)
