The month of Ramadan is the most anticipated time for Muslims. In this month, Muslims compete to improve themselves and increase their acts of worship. In Ramadan 1447 H, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim held an event "Reflection of Ramadan, Khotmil Qur'an, and Breaking the Fast Together" on Thursday, February 26, 2026. This activity took place in the Auditorium on the 3rd floor of the Ar-Rahim Building, FKIK UIN Malang Campus 3. This event was very special because it was attended by all previous rectors of UIN Malang. In addition, the event was attended by the entire academic community, starting from the vice deans, heads of administration, heads of study programs, lecturers, and educational staff of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, M.Si., CAHRM., CRMP expressed his respect for the presence of Prof. Dr. H. Imam Suprayogo, Rector during the early period of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, as well as Prof. Dr. H. Mudjia Rahardjo, M.Si., who served as Rector of UIN Malang for the 2013–2017 period and Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Haris, M.Ag., as Rector of UIN Malang for the 2017–2021 period. In his remarks, he emphasized that the activity was a momentum for togetherness to foster enthusiasm and strengthen brotherhood, especially in the holy month of Ramadan. On the same occasion, donations were also given to orphans and the poor in the campus area as a form of social concern and the campus's real contribution to the community. This event was interpreted as an effort to learn again from the campus's predecessors, making their experiences and examples as a reference in the future development of the institution. "The momentum of this face-to-face meeting is expected to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and become a means of emulating the leadership values that have been passed down."“Becoming a Wahidah Ummah is the dream that we must realize together to build this great campus”", he said.

This Ramadan reflection material carries the theme "Towards the International Reputation of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang," delivered by the first rector of UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. H. Imam Suprayogo. He stated that the rectors from the period after him until now have succeeded in making UIN Malang one of the leading universities.“These five people are small in stature, but have great knowledge."”, he said. All UIN Malang rectors in their periods also delivered Ramadan reflections according to the distribution of delivery duration. Prof. Dr. H. Mudjia Rahardjo, M.Si., expressed his gratitude to all UIN Malang rectors for their great contributions, where these contributions helped advance the campus, and succeeded in realizing everyone's ideals and vision and mission. In closing, Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Haris, M.Ag. said, "“"The prosperity or failure of a nation ultimately depends on its leadership. Therefore, a leader is a key factor. And I have seen this in the extraordinary rectors of UIN Malang.". The previous rectors greatly appreciated the development and progress of UIN Malang due to the great contribution of its leaders.

Through this Ramadan reflection, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is committed to continuing to develop, strengthening the integration of science and Islamic values, and sustainably improving the quality of education, research, and community service. With this spirit, self-reflection and self-improvement, UIN Malang is determined to produce graduates who are globally competitive, have noble morals, and are adaptive to the dynamics of the times, so that they are able to realize the vision of being a superior university with an international reputation.
