The Role of Alumni in Enlivening the Spirit of Cadre Development at UIN Malang's RMT Training

POOR – Rhazes Medical Team (RMT) has once again demonstrated its success in producing strong and responsive medical personnel through innovative training activities carried out for RMT members. This time, RMT held an outdoor simulation to provide more realistic clinical experience for its members.

This activity was welcomed by alumni who now play a role as mentors and speakers at this training. Dr. Mohammad Reza Riandinata, M.Biomed., often known as Dr. Reza, is an alumnus of the Faculty of Medical Education, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang who is also an alumnus of the RMT organization, said that this activity is a very innovative improvisation compared to the coaching concept at the time of the organization's inception.

"We couldn't do these simulations before; we could only learn from theory and practice directly in the field under such chaotic conditions," Dr. Reza recalled.

With this outdoor simulation, RMT members are expected to have more mature mental provisions and abilities before actually handling cases in the field in an emergency situation later.

The continuity of the simulation was an important point highlighted by Dr. Ika Nurnaila Syakhsiyah, an alumna of the Faculty of Medical Education at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and an alumna of RMT in previous years. "Hopefully, when simulations like this are held continuously, the friends will truly experience the real conditions. So they become more expert, more professional, and when faced with the case directly, friends know what they need to do professionally and well," she said when interviewed by one of the members of RMT.

"Cadre development must continue, because leadership doesn't stop with just one person. Thank you to the alumni who have participated in this activity," said Dr. Christyaji Indradmojo., Sp.EM. as the RMT mentor. The strength of the Rhazes Medical Team lies in its strong cadre system, Dr. Chris, as a senior figure in the team, indirectly emphasized that the role of alumni is not just as supporters, but part of a leadership chain that must not be broken.

Similarly, Dr. Reza also likened the transfer of knowledge in the RMT organization to a "spring," starting with Dr. Christyaji Indradmojo., Sp.EM, This knowledge will then flow to alumni, and now it will be passed on to the current generation of RMT. The hope is that this wellspring of knowledge will continue to flow widely without ever stopping at a single point.
