Rock – The Public Relations and Protocol Department of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang recently concluded a strategic coordination meeting with the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation. This meeting served as a crucial opportunity to finalize the publication agenda, strengthen the institution's image, and align the FKIK's work programs throughout 2026.

During the coordination meeting, the primary focus for developing the faculty's image was established on the selection of FKIK Ambassadors. The program, currently under the coordination of Ms. Laras, has entered the registration stage and is projected to represent the faculty in various strategic activities. The presence of FKIK Ambassadors is expected to increase student involvement in building the institution's positive reputation at the local and national levels.

Furthermore, strengthening student capacity in media literacy is a priority that continues to be developed. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Public Relations will hold the 2026 Multimedia Journalism Workshop in August, immediately following the end of the PBAK period. Beyond just training, this event will also serve as a platform for open recruitment for the student press and journalism team for the 2026-2027 period. This step is taken to ensure the regeneration of reliable cadres to professionally manage the faculty's information and publication channels.

Regarding the socialization agenda, the faculty is committed to continuing to organize activities. Open House to attract prospective new students. At the meeting, it was agreed that the outreach program would be implemented optimally to strengthen the reach of information to potential prospective students.

In the audiovisual sector, FKIK is currently updating digital assets to support official ceremonies, including videos of the national anthem and the faculty hymn, which are targeted for completion within one month. Meanwhile, the program Podcast Routine activities are continuously optimized by presenting speakers from various circles, ranging from internal figures, health practitioners, to external partners to enrich the insights of the academic community.

Strengthening the governance of student organizations (ORMAWA) is also continuously being synergized through a review system for activity articles, which now has a dedicated person in charge for each study program. In the long term, FKIK Public Relations is also proposing improvements to its information technology infrastructure to support higher documentation standards.

All of these strategic agendas underscore the dedication of the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine at UIN Malang to maintaining standards of public information services while providing opportunities for students to continue to excel. With strong synergy between Public Relations and faculty leadership, the Faculty is optimistic that it can continue to project a transparent and inspiring image.
