
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, AMSA-UIN Malang held another Local Academic Training (LAT). This second LAT was a webinar focused on preparing theses and research proposals for competitions. The webinar, themed "Enforcing Ideas of Research for Medical Students (ENVIDERMAL)," was presented by three UIN Malang lecturers and one lecturer from Airlangga University.
The Knowledge philosophy underpins LAT II, alongside two other AMSA philosophies: Action and Friendship. Students' obligation to complete their final assignment, a thesis, is crucial. Furthermore, many students also take advantage of research competitions. In an online interview, the organizing committee chairman, Ramadhani Aurino, stated that LAT II is focused on providing early preparation for thesis writing to all PSPD and Pharmacy students, particularly those from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at UIN Malang.
Dr. dr. Lailia Nur Rachma, M.Biomed, an expert in microbiology, presented the first material on the topic "The Ins and Outs of a Thesis: Chapters 1-7". Dr. dr. Ermin Rachmawati, M.Biomed, an expert in physiology, presented the second material on the topic "Don't Choose the Wrong Research Method". Dr. dr. Citrawati Dyah Kencono Wungu, M.Si, a lecturer at Airlangga University, presented the third material on the topic "“Literature Review and Systematic Review : What is that?”. Dr. Zulvikar Syambani Ulhaq, M.Biomed, Ph.D., an expert in biochemistry, presented the fourth material on the topic “Publication of SINTA 1-3 and International Articles: It's Possible!”
90 participants attended LAT II. Initially targeted for internal UIN students only, external students from UNAIR and UB also participated. Furthermore, AMSA Indonesia requires all university AMSAs to hold LAT at least once a year. tenure, but AMSA-Uinma can hold it twice in tenure This.


The advisor of AMSA-Uinma, Mr. Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med., Ed in his online interview said, "My hope as an advisor, first of all, is that AMSA-Uinma, even though it is classified as a new student organization in the FKIK UIN Malang environment with all its limitations, can still produce good and quality work programs, and of course have benefits for the entire community, especially in order to improve the quality of the academic atmosphere on campus.".
