Today, Monday (8/2/2021) is an important event for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (FKIK UIN Malang). Because starting at 08.30 am to 11.30 pm this afternoon, the Vision, Mission, Goals and Targets (VMTS) of FKIK UIN Malang for the 2021-2025 period was launched. The VMTS socialization event of FKIK UIN Malang was attended by at least 90 participants, both online via the Zoom application (70 participants) and offline (20 participants) in the Multipurpose Hall, 1st Floor, Ibnu Thufail Building, FKIK UIN Malang.
The event opened with a recitation of the recitation, the Indonesian National Anthem, and the Hymn and March of FKIK UIN Malang. Followed by remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M.Kes., Sp.Rad (K) as the Dean of FKIK. Through her remarks, Prof. Yuyun expressed her gratitude to the stakeholders who attended the FKIK VMTS Socialization event for all the roles and efforts that had been given for the advancement of FKIK UIN Malang. The main event was packaged in the form of a Forum Group Discussion led by dr. Abdul Malik Setiawan, M.Infect.Dis. and began with the presentation of the Draft Vision, Mission, Goals and Strategy of FKIK for 2021-2025 by Prof. Dr. Apt. Roihatul Muti'ah, M.Kes as Deputy Dean I of FKIK.
In the next 5 years, FKIK UIN Malang will strive to realize its main vision, namely to become the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. integrative in combining science and Islam international reputation. In achieving this vision, FKIK UIN Malang describes it in the form of 5 missions, namely the first is to provide integrative and internationally reputable education in the fields of medicine and health to produce graduates who have spiritual depth, moral greatness, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity. The second mission is to develop science and technology through integrative research in the fields of medicine and health that has an international reputation. The third mission is to actively participate in the development of public health through integrative community service activities in the fields of medicine and health. The fourth mission is to organize Faculty governance based on good governance. The final mission is to develop Hajj health as a Faculty excellence in the Tridharma of Higher Education.


The VMTS FKIK UIN Malang socialization event was a success, seen from the enthusiasm of stakeholders ranging from representatives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Batu City, Hospital Directors, Batu City Health Office, Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), Student Parents Association, to representatives of Student Organizations (Ormawa) providing impressions, responses, and very valuable input for the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at FKIK UIN Malang. At the end of the event, the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Dr. Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, M.PdI. or familiarly called 'Pak Amka', praised the implementation of the VMTS FKIK Socialization event and advised that the vision and mission that have been prepared should always be echoed whenever and wherever there is an opportunity. This is important for the sake of creating harmony in the goals of all elements within the academic community of FKIK UIN Malang.
