Fitriyani, a student of the Pharmacy Study Program, FKIK State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class of 2020 who had the opportunity to participate in the activity "“Volunteering and Conference by Garuda Youth Summit” October 25–31, 2022, will be held in three countries: Indonesia, specifically in Entikong District, which borders the northern region of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Fitriyani's motivation was to try something new, step out of her comfort zone, and experience an offline international activity.

Series of activities Garuda Youth Summit This program consists of community service and an international conference. The community service was held at the Entikong border with the theme "Reflection on Education, Literacy, and Youth with the Community." In addition, leadership sharing with youth figures/community empowerment activists and regional leaders. The international conference, held at the University of Malaya, raised the theme "National Development Based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the event, Fitriyani received three medals at once: best idea, best delegates, and best division. International Conference Garuda Youth Summit 2022. "Participating in international activities is something new for me. I'm very happy to be able to participate in this event. I can gain a lot of experience and make very broad connections," said Fitri in an interview via WhatsApp. Fitri underwent various selection processes before qualifying for the 2022 Garuda Youth Summit. These included a document selection, a written test, and an interview. The road wasn't always smooth sailing, navigating the numerous and demanding selection processes. One factor was the equally hectic class schedule. According to Fitri, good time management and prioritizing are key to staying productive amidst a busy schedule.

“"If you have a strong desire, don't hesitate to try. We just need to pray and try harder," Fitri advised all FKIK UIN Malang students.
