On Sunday, June 18, 2023, FKIK UIN Malang held its annual Grand Final of the 2023 Safir-Safirah Ambassador Selection with the theme "Unstoppable Movement Unstoppable Become Greater". The glamorous silver nuances combined with pink presented a new elegant color. The event opened magnificently with a collaborative dance by the Safir-Safirah finalists and the Senior LSO DEMA FKIK UIN Malang. The event was attended by UIN Malang campus ambassadors, Ambassadors of the Faculty of Psychology, Ambassadors of the Faculty of Sharia, Ambassadors of the Faculty of Humanities, Ambassadors of the Faculty of Dimas and Nimas Saintek, as well as all class leaders and heads of ORMAWA FKIK.
The recitation of the holy Quran also served as the opening. It was followed by remarks from the chief executive and the opening number by finalists Safir-Safirah. The jury team consisted of one external judge, namely Mbakyu Kota Malang 2019, Ns. Alif Fanharnita Briliana S.Kep, and two internal judges from the FKIK Ambassadors Association, namely Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed and apt. Novia Maulina, M.Farm. First cut The top 12 were chosen from randomly selected questions, which the finalists answered within one minute. The event included sponsor certificate awards and games hosted by the MC. The FKIK Home Band enlivened the interlude.
Entering the elimination of the top 6, an announcement and parade of the finalists who were selected in the top 6 was made. Next, the selected finalists were selected again through questions with a mechanism such as first cut The top 12 will select 4 finalists. Afterwards, the intermission event will continue with a parade and last speech Sapphire-Sapphire 2022.
Dzawil Uqola (PSPD 2022) was chosen as Safir 2023, Uswatun Hasanah (Pharmacy 2022) as Safirah 2023, and Muhamad Abdulloh Umar (Pharmacy 2020) as the favorite FKIK Ambassador. Runner up Safir Renoven Pratama Putra (PSPD 2022) and Runner up Safirah Naila Riezqi Shalsabillah (Pharmacy 2021). "The hope for the association," said Dzawil Uqola in an interview, "is to create, maintain, and disseminate a positive image of FKIK UIN Malang." Safir, who is familiarly called Uqol, also gave encouragement, "Come on friends, let's develop our potential talents according to passion, nothing is impossible as long as we haven't tried."”
Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati Prabowowati Wadjib, M. Kes., Sp. Rad (K) as the Dean of FKIK in her closing speech, emphasized the importance of the ability to communicate, speak, express opinions, and act as ambassadors. She also advised the finalists not to be discouraged if they were not selected as winners because the struggle to be able to stand proudly on the Grand Final stage is a long, winding journey, and requires sacrifice. All the finalists are extraordinary! All of this will be remembered as part of the journey of the Safir-Safirah finalists who served for a year, but will inspire a lifetime. The hope is that in the future, Safir-Safirah can continue to develop to be even better as the face of FKIK and UIN Malang.
The Chief Executive, Safir Yazid, in an interview expressed his hope that the Grand Final would not be the end of the finalists' journey, but rather the first step in starting a career in the world of... pageant. Although the Safir-Safirah association is still relatively young, it is hoped that the finalists will be able to compete and collaborate with external ambassadors.
In an interview, Ms. Larasati Sekar Kinasih, M.Gz., the advisor of the Safir-Safirah association, expressed her hope that the association would be more solid and trustworthy, as many faculty activities would involve the association. Her final hope is that the Safir-Safirah will be consistent in their commitments, creating programs that benefit the association, the study programs, and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in particular.
