Another brilliant achievement was achieved by a PSPD UIN Malang student. This time, Mohammad Daffa Athallah Fath (PSPD student Class of 2018) was crowned the 2022 Central Java Province Planned Generation Ambassador (GenRe) held by the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) of Central Java Province at the Grand Arkenso Park View Hotel, Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday (24/02/2022).

“"Of course, first and foremost, I'm grateful that my year-long struggle in the district has paid off after winning second place as GenRe Ambassador in Central Java. It's also a challenge for me to be able to make a greater impact on my fellow teenagers, especially in Central Java," Daffa explained after being contacted online on Saturday (February 26).

Daffa said he was motivated to participate in the GenRe Ambassador election because the program's focus is on adolescent health and family planning, which aligns with medical topics. He hopes that through the GenRe Ambassador program, the knowledge gained can be useful and shared with teenagers.

Genre Ambassadors is a program for selecting young men and women to become role models and motivators for youth under the auspices of the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN). The GenRe Ambassadors are selected through a process that begins at the district/city level, then at the provincial level, and finally at the national level. The chosen ambassadors are tasked with providing insights to youth, particularly on reproductive health and nutrition to prevent stunting.

Daffa also shared his journey to this point. The Banjarnegara-born man initially participated in the GenRe Ambassador selection in Purbalingga Regency in March of last year. After being crowned first place winner, he advanced to the provincial level and underwent a three-day quarantine from February 22-24, 2022. He successfully completed the competition, reaching the top three, where he was asked to answer questions related to a case study on adolescents, which earned him second place.

Finally, Daffa, the GenRe Ambassador, encouraged teenagers, especially FKIK students, to maintain their health, particularly by avoiding the three Adolescent Reproductive Health Triads (KRR Triad): sexuality, HIV-AIDS, and drugs. He also advised them to start planning for their future: education, employment, and avoiding early marriage.
