ROCK – The Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation (WD III) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Dr. Begum Fauziyah, M.Farm., oversaw the future of the prospective faculty ambassadors. She also provided material on faculty affairs to all Safir and Safirah finalists in an energetic briefing session.

This real action of WD III is the main magnet on the agenda Quarantine II of the 2026 Sapphire and Safirah Selection for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang which was held on Saturday (May 30, 2026) at the Ar-Rahim Minihall, Campus III UIN Malang. Addressing the finalists, Dr. Begum emphasized that this event is not merely a stage for prestige, but rather an incubation of winners ready to oversee the university's ambitious goals!

Not Just an Icon, Vice Rector III Discusses 21 Strategic Campus Targets

In the briefing she delivered, Dr. Begum Fauziyah immediately dissected 21 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of UIN Malang for the 2025–2029 period. He urged the finalists to jump higher and not get caught up in mere formalities.

“"Safir and Safirah should not be mere decorations or the face of the faculty. You are living representatives of FKIK. On your shoulders lies a great responsibility to boost achievements, public relations, collaboration, and international service," Dr. Begum emphasized enthusiastically.

Under the direct guidance of Dr. Begum, the finalists were provided with a well-thought-out strategy to target crucial indicators, including:

• Boosting Student Achievement: To be a pioneer and motivator of competitive spirit in the national and international arena.
• Foreign Student Magnet & Internationalization: Fully support the creation of a campus ecosystem that is ready to expand its international network and embrace foreign students.
• Public Relations & Protocol Vanguard: Moving nimbly under the auspices of the Public Relations Unit to boost the faculty's positive image and attract the interest of prospective new students.
• Alumni & Career Synergy: To be a driving force that connects the campus world with an active network of collaborations and real contributions from alumni.

This bold step, initiated by the Deputy Dean III, reinforces FKIK UIN Malang's commitment to transforming the ambassador selection process into a platform for producing the best cadres. Safir and Safirah were created to be role models (role model) who are communicative, high achieving, and have strong character.

Following the direct briefing by Vice Dean III during Quarantine II, the 14 finalists have transformed into a select group of students ready for battle. They are not only ready to shine on the grand finale, but also ready to become a new force that will elevate the reputation of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang to international prominence.
