In early 2022, the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang submitted another reaccreditation application after the last one was in 2018. The accreditation process within the FKIK UIN Malang environment was carried out by the Indonesian Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). As one of the accreditation procedures, a Field Assessment agenda was carried out by the LAM-PTKes accreditation assessor team consisting of Dr. Titi Savitri Prihatiningsih, MA., M.Med.Ed., PhD; Dr. Sugito Wonodirekso, MS., and Dr. dr. H. Ahmad Yudianto, Sp.FM [K]., SH, M.Kes. The agenda lasted for 3 days, starting from Monday to Wednesday (10-12/1/2022). The purpose of this field assessment is to confirm the contents of the accreditation boring that was previously submitted by the accreditation team from the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Program, FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

The arrival of the assessors on the first day was welcomed directly by the Rector of UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. HM Zainuddin, MA along with the rectorate staff in the meeting room of the Singhasari Resort Hotel Batu. Tuesday (11/1/2022) at the Multipurpose Hall, 1st Floor, Ibnu Thufail Building, Campus 3, FKIK UIN Malang, the Field Assessment agenda was officially opened with the presence of the three assessors. In addition to the assessors, the opening ceremony was also attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Umi Sumbulah, M.Ag.; Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. H. Ahmad Fatah Yasin, M.Ag; Head of P2KM, Prof.Dr.dr. Bambang Pardjianto, Sp.BP.RE(K); Director of Karsa Husada General Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Rizal, MM.,M.Kes; Education Coordination Committee of Karsa Husada Hospital, dr. Bambang Rishardana, Sp.B.; Director of Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat Lawang Mental Hospital, Dr. Yuniar Sp.KJ; and all the deans, study program heads, lecturers, and educational staff.

After being officially opened by remarks and reports from the Head of the Accreditation Team, Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed; Director of Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, dr. M. Rizal; Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Umi Sumbulah; and the Dean of FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Prof. Dr.dr.Yuyun Yueniwati PW., M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K), the agenda continued with a presentation by the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit of FKIK UIN Malang, dr. Nurlaili Susanti, M.Biomed and the Head of the Medical Education Study Program, dr. Tias Pramesti Griana, M.Biomed. The event then continued with interviews with the community and related stakeholders and ended with a visit by assessors to a number of facilities on the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang campus.

The assessors toured the area accompanied by Vice Rector 1 for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Umi Sumbulah, M.Ag; Vice Rector 2 for General Administration, Planning and Finance, Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nurdiana, M.Si; Vice Rector 3 for Student Affairs, Dr. H. Ahmad Fatah Yasin, M.Ag; Vice Rector 4 for Cooperation and Institutional Development, Dr. H. Isroqunnajah, M.Ag. Also welcoming and accompanying them were the Head of the Academic Bureau, Dr. Barnoto, M.Pd.I; Head of the AUPK Bureau, Drs. Mahfudh Shodar, M.Ag; Head of LP2M UIN Malang, Dr. H. Agus Maimun, M.Pd. Some of the facilities visited included the Student Center, central library, and UMMI polyclinic.

The second day, Wednesday (12/1/2022) continued with the third visit of the assessors to a number of related educational facilities, including Karsa Husada Batu General Hospital as the Main Teaching Hospital, Saiful Anwar Malang General Hospital as a Network/Affiliated Hospital, a number of Community Health Centers in Batu City, Ma'had/Medical Student Dormitory at Campus 2 of UIN Malang, as well as a number of laboratories and student activity facilities at Campus 3 of FKIK UIN Malang. Then, document checking, clarification and independent work were carried out by the assessors and closed with the submission of recommendations and the signing of the Minutes. In general, the Field Assessment agenda for the Accreditation of the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Programs of FKIK UIN Malang ran smoothly and without significant obstacles. Dr. Titi Savitri Prihatiningsih, as the assessor, expressed her admiration for the performance and support of all parties at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang along with partners and related stakeholders for the progress of the study program. "Usually, a newly established Faculty of Medicine will face many obstacles, starting from the difficulty of obtaining support from Teaching Hospitals, limited infrastructure, and so on. However, I do not see that happening at all at the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine at UIN Malang, everyone is very supportive of the progress of this faculty, from the rectorate to external parties," said Dr. Titi. "With young and energetic human resources, and support from various parties, the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine at UIN Malang has a very bright future," concluded the teaching doctor at the Faculty of Medicine at UIN Malang.
