Sela Ardhisa Rosalind: GenRe Ambassador for Trenggalek Regency

“"Life is not just happy yourself, but sharing your happiness to those around us because it will increase happiness when shared"”

That is the motto held by Sela Ardhisa Rosalind, a student of the Pharmacy Study Program, FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class of 2018 who was officially inaugurated as the GenRe Ambassador for Trenggalek Regency in mid-2019. The high prevalence of juvenile delinquency cases in Trenggalek Regency due to the high divorce rate in Trenggalek Regency which reached 1500 cases in 2018, is one of the things that made Sela determined to contribute in making big changes and breaking through the younger generation to take part in making positive changes in their future planning, so that they will not be a burden on the country in the future. As well as the realization of a more independent environment, region, and even country. From this Sela racked her brains about what she could do, which ultimately encouraged her to make herself a role model who can inspire his peers. His determination and efforts earned him the election as the 2019 GenRe Ambassador for Trenggalek Regency.

The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) developed the Generation Planning Program (GenRe) in order to respond to the problems of adolescents. The GenRe program is a program developed in order to prepare family life for adolescents through an understanding of the maturity of marriage age so that they are able to continue their education in a planned manner, have a career in a planned job, and marry with full planning according to the reproductive health cycle. The GenRe program is a program that prioritizes the formation of national character among the younger generation. The GenRe program is a forum for developing national character because it teaches adolescents to stay away from Early Marriage, Premarital Sex and NAPZA (Narcotics, Psychotropics, and Addictive Substances) in order to become resilient adolescents and can contribute to development and be useful for the nation and state.

The problems facing youth in her community have made Sela feel a sense of responsibility as a millennial to make a difference. This is the main reason she joined the GenRe ambassadors. Furthermore, without realizing it, public speaking, life skills, in the sense soft skills And hard skills, the skills they already possess are further honed. Becoming a GenRe member also allows Sela to directly engage with the community and spread the GenRe virus, commonly known as Gen-ranger, enabling the surrounding community to understand and gain new insights into the essence of this Planned Generation.

After joining the Trenggalek Regency GenRe ambassador forum, Sela feels she has gained a much broader understanding of the millennial generation than before. The 1999-born student also believes that joining the GenRe ambassadors isn't just about being... role model that walks on top catwalk on the red carpet. However, this presents a new challenge in how to dive in and socialize with the community and be accepted by them. The goal of GenRe itself is to spread the GenRe virus and prepare a much better generation for the future. Furthermore, when we join the GenRe ambassador forum, it also indirectly serves as a warning for us when we start to head down a bad path (in a negative sense) because it aligns with our motto as part of the GenRe community, namely "A year in office, a lifetime of inspiration!" Rest assured that every good intention and effort will find the best path given by Allah SWT to realize it.
