Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) Urges Students and Academics to Increase Driving Caution

 

Rock – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang held a prayer vigil attended by the leadership, lecturers, administrative staff, and students. The vigil served as a form of spiritual support and empathy for the faculty's extended family, which is currently facing hardship.

In particular, prayers are offered for apt. Achmad Syahrir, M.Farm. (Lecturer of Pharmacy Study Program) and Ibra Setiawan (PSPD students class of 2024).

In his remarks, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, FKIK UIN Malang, Dr. Begum Fauziyah, M.Farm.conveying a profound message that emphasizes the importance of driving safety and strengthening a sense of family in the campus environment.

Safety as Top Priority

Dr. Begum urged the entire academic community to maintain increased vigilance on the road. She emphasized that safety is not simply about obeying the rules, but also about taking responsibility for oneself and others.

“"I urge all lecturers, educational staff, and students to always be careful and to increase mutual awareness by reminding each other about road safety. Obey traffic rules, use complete safety equipment, and remain vigilant both on and off campus," he stressed.

The Active Role of Students and the Culture of Mutual Reminding

As a concrete step, Dr. Begum provided specific guidance to the Student Organization (ORMAWA) within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK). She encouraged student activists to become safety champions through creative campaigns and educational media.

“"This campaign is expected to be a real contribution from students in building a culture of safety awareness in the FKIK environment," he added.

He further emphasized the importance of building a caring campus ecosystem through a culture of mutual remembrance. He believes that caring among campus residents—both students and staff—is a valuable form of collective protection.

Empathy and Solidarity of the Extended Family

Closing her remarks, Dr. Begum invited all participants present to bow their heads for a moment, providing moral support and best wishes for those who have been struck by disaster.

“"Let us pray that our fellow lecturers and students will be given strength, healing, and protection by Allah SWT. This is the time for us to prove that FKIK is one big family with strong empathy and solidarity in facing every challenge," he concluded.

This solemn activity is expected to increase the awareness of the entire academic community regarding the importance of safety aspects in daily mobility, while at the same time strengthening the bonds of friendship within the FKIK UIN Malang environment.
