Rock – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Malang officially inaugurated the 2025 student organization management (ORMAWA) on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Taking place in the faculty hall, this activity was attended by the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, dr. Alvi Milliana, M.Biomed, along with student organization advisors such as apt. Hajar Sugihantoro, MPH (HMPSF) and Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med. Ed (HMPPD).

In his remarks, Dr. Alvi stated that the ORMAWA inauguration is not just an annual ceremony, but a crucial moment in the transition of student leadership. "This inauguration symbolizes the beginning of a new management and the starting point for carrying out a new mandate," he said. He considered the dynamics of student organizations that continue to develop according to student needs to be very positive. "With the start of a new management period, it also means the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership that is more dynamic and adaptive," he added.

Dr. Alvi also hopes that the administrators will be able to become intelligent, critical but not anarchic students, and will be able to become agent of change And agent of social control. The faculty, he continued, will continue to support student development through funding, coaching, mentoring, and regulations that guarantee the legality of the organization.

This year, the inauguration felt special with the joining of PIONALA (Drug Information Center, Faculty of Medicine, UIN Malang) as a new semi-autonomous institution under the auspices of HMPSF. PIONALA exists as a community focused on developing the skills of pharmacy students, particularly in patient counseling and delivering accurate and communicative drug information.

“"With PIONALA, we learn to communicate effectively with patients, provide easy-to-understand drug education, and prepare ourselves so that when we go directly into the community, we won't feel awkward or confused," said Imroatul Alfi, President of PIO.

FKIK Student Executive Board Governor Ibnu Malkan emphasized that this inauguration marks the beginning of a journey for all new administrators to work optimally. "The leadership baton has passed into our hands. Now is the time to demonstrate our commitment and responsibility to steer FKIK in a better direction," he said.

Meanwhile, HMPSF Chairman Muhammad Arbyan emphasized the importance of maintaining organizational spirit. "The inauguration is not merely symbolic, but a confirmation of commitment. Let's remain steadfast in our service, maintain our spirit, and continue to innovate for the greater benefit of the community," he said.

Salman, the Chair of HMPPD 2025, also expressed his hopes after the inauguration. "Our hopes are certainly high. We want to make HMPPD an active, inclusive, and impactful forum, both internally and within the FKIK community at large. Hopefully, this will be a solid start to building teamwork, relevant work programs, and cross-organizational collaboration," he explained.

He also interpreted the inauguration as a moment filled with responsibility. "For me personally, the inauguration is more than just a formal ceremony. It's a symbolic moment that marks a shared commitment to serve, learn, and grow. There's a moral and social responsibility that we carry with us from the moment we're inaugurated," he added.

In addition to DEMA, HMPSF, HMPPD, and PIONALA, other semi-autonomous institutions were also inaugurated, such as SENIOR (Arts and Sports), CALVARIA, AMSA, and the Scientific Da'wah Forum (FDI). This inauguration is expected to be the first milestone in a solid, professional management and will have a positive impact on the student climate at FKIK UIN Malang.
