MALANG – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held the Period I 2025 Graduation Ceremony for its 130 best graduates on Thursday (20/2/2025). The event was attended by the leadership of FKIK UIN Malang, invited guests, lecturers, and the entire academic community. This Graduation Ceremony marked a significant achievement for the graduates of the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Medical Education Study Programs who had successfully completed their undergraduate education. A total of 731 TP3T of the total graduation participants successfully completed their undergraduate education in less than 8 semesters or the equivalent of 3.5 years, demonstrating academic achievements that deserve appreciation considering the dense medical and pharmacy curriculum.

Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, PW., M.Kes., Sp.Rad (K), in her remarks emphasized that the concept of Ulul Albab is the foundation of education that distinguishes FKIK UIN Malang graduates from other institutions. "The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UIN Malang not only aims to produce academically competent health workers, but also has four pillars of integrated Ulul Albab characteristics," she said. The four pillars include spiritual depth, moral greatness, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity. Prof. Yuyun emphasized that with this foundation, graduates are expected to be able to carry out the mandate in realizing Islam as rahmatan lil alamin through the health sector.

The event also announced the best academically outstanding students. In the Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program, first place was achieved by Qoriah Nur Alfaizah with a GPA of 3.75, followed by Safira Wahyu Utari (GPA of 3.75) in second place, and Candra Kusuma Dewi (GPA of 3.74) in third place. Meanwhile, in the Medical Education Study Program, Syifaul Ummah achieved first place with a GPA of 3.74, followed by Nabila Faiz Sudarto (GPA of 3.63) in second place, and Mochammad Dzaky Addhimi (GPA of 3.59) in third place.

In addition to academic achievements, FKIK UIN Malang graduates have also achieved success in non-academic fields. Firdusiyatul Ulya achieved success in the tahfidz category, having memorized 30 juz of the Qur'an. Sixteen other graduates have also achieved various achievements in competitions and received recognition at the national and international levels. Non-academic achievement awards were also given to graduates who were members of the FKIK Ambassadors, the FKIK Press Team, and the Head of Student Organizations.

Prof. Dr. Apt. Roihatul Muti'ah, SF., M.Kes., Deputy Dean I for Academic Affairs, stated that the main advantage of FKIK UIN Malang graduates lies in the HIPE (Hajj Integrated Professional Education) program. "This program is specifically designed to provide students with competencies in the field of health development for prospective Hajj pilgrims, in line with the faculty's vision to contribute to the development of the fields of medicine and Hajj health," she explained.

Furthermore, Prof. Roihatul explained that students in the Medical Education Program receive specific education on Hajj health, while students in the Pharmacy Program are equipped with knowledge about halal pharmacy. The integration of scientific knowledge and Islamic values is a key characteristic of FKIK UIN Malang graduates.

Syifaul Ummah, as a representative of the graduation participants, expressed his gratitude for their success. "We are grateful and proud to be part of a faith-based institution committed to producing a generation of ulul albab who have integrity, faith, and piety towards Allah SWT," he said. In closing, he said, "When someone stops learning, that's when their life stops developing. Therefore, we are committed to continuing to develop ourselves and apply our knowledge for the benefit of the community." The graduation procession ended with a prayer together and a photo session with all participants, marking the beginning of a new stage for the graduates as professional health workers who are ready to dedicate themselves to the community with integrated knowledge and Islamic values.
