The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, which received the Decree for the establishment of the Medical Education Study Program and the Medical Profession Study Program from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education on March 29, 2016, celebrated its 1st anniversary on Wednesday (29/3). The ceremonial event that began the series of events for the 1st FKIK Miad was enlivened with a Thanksgiving and was attended by the University leadership and the entire academic community of FKIK UIN Malang. The Thanksgiving event took place at Campus 3 UIN Malang.
Deputy Dean 1 of FKIK UIN Malang, Dr. dr. Achdiat Agoes, Sp.S., as the chief executive, said that the FKIK UIN Malang anniversary celebration was the first of its kind. The theme was "Steps Together to Rebuild Islamic Civilization in the Health Sector." "With the support of all parties, we can accelerate even faster. Hopefully, this commemoration, which is indeed the first time FKIK UIN Malang has held it, can be a good momentum to continue to develop and achieve," he said.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. HM Zainuddin, MA in his remarks congratulated the Medical Education Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang which has been established for 1 year to advance education in the field of Health. If we remember its history The process of establishing the medical education study program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang was taken through a long and winding road. It took no less than seven years since the start of planning in 2009 by Prof. Dr. H. Imam Suprayogo as the Rector of UIN Maliki Malang at that time.
He advised the students of the Medical Education Study Program, "Students are proud of UIN Malang, because it is a campus that integrates science and religion, and is different from other public campuses." He also said, "Communication must be maintained because it is impossible to succeed in making FKIK UIN Malang the best without these efforts.".
Prof. Dr. H. Mudjia Rahardjo M.Si, Rector of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim also congratulated the entire FKIK academic community "a historical moment that will never be forgotten throughout the history of our campus, many people consider that medical science is the peak of human civilization. That is why it is not surprising and understandable if all universities aspire to have a Faculty of Medicine, by having a medical education study program and a medical profession study program, UIN Malang has established itself as one of the prestigious universities in Indonesia, for that everyone must be grateful, by working hard to realize a reliable medical faculty while proving UIN Malang as a center of excellence and a center of Islamic civilization ".
