Malang, May 24, 2026 — The spirit of competition and togetherness colored the two-day Dean's Cup 2026, held on May 23–24, 2026, at Campus 2 of the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This prestigious annual event, initiated by the Department of Home Affairs and the Student Executive Council of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (DEMA FKIK), officially concluded its series successfully, leaving a lasting impression on the entire FKIK academic community.
The first day of activities, Saturday, May 23, 2026, officially opened in the Hall of the UIN Malang Campus 2 Shelter House. Since morning, the hall was filled with enthusiastic faculty leaders, class chairs from various study programs, lecturers, committee members, and FKIK students.

The event began with a registration session for participants and invited guests, followed by a captivating opening dance performance by the students, welcoming them and setting the tone for the celebration. The ceremony proceeded solemnly, featuring the singing of Indonesia Raya and the UIN Malang March, recitation of verses from the Quran, and remarks from the Chairperson of the Executive Board and the Governor of the FKIK Student Executive Board.
“"Preparations for the opening of the 2026 Dean's Cup have been excellent and well-structured, both in terms of the event concept and the timely execution. I hope this event can serve as a platform to strengthen solidarity, sportsmanship, and a sense of camaraderie among the entire academic community of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang."” said the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation of FKIK, Dr. Begum Fauziyah, in her remarks.
The most anticipated moment of the opening ceremony was the symbolic opening procession led by Dr. Begum Fauziyah, accompanied by a parade of class flags carried by each class chairperson from all study programs at FKIK. Step by step, the parade became a tangible symbol of the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and togetherness across classes that is the soul of the 2026 Dean's Cup.

The contingent's oath was read aloud by all participants, concluding the opening ceremony, demonstrating a shared commitment to upholding sportsmanship throughout the competition. The atmosphere was further enlivened by the performances. flash mob from all the committee members, before the group photo session closed the morning's opening series.
Entering the first afternoon session, various official competitions took place simultaneously at several venues prepared by the committee. The Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) competition was held at the Ali Ash-Shobuni Mosque in a solemn and heartfelt atmosphere. Meanwhile, the solo vocal competition featured the melodious voices of FKIK students on the 4th floor of the Rumah Singgah building, captivating the packed audience.

Equally intense, the quiz competition in Room 303 pitted the best teams from each class against each other in a test of speed and sharp thinking. In Room 301, poster competition participants presented their creative visual works before a panel of judges.
In the afternoon, the preliminary round futsal arena at Linda Futsal was filled with cheers from supporters from various study programs.

Entering the second day, Sunday, May 24, 2026, the competition tension reached a fever pitch. The futsal final was the most anticipated match, showcasing fast-paced and determined play from the participants. At the same time, the arena... e-sport presenting fierce competition in the digital world, while the badminton match closed the series of sports with powerful smashes from the young athletes of FKIK.
Amidst the intense competition, a friendly and sportsmanlike atmosphere was maintained throughout the day. The mutual encouragement from across study programs was a warm sight, demonstrating that the Dean's Cup is not just about winning, but also about uniting the FKIK academic community.
Overall, the 2026 Dean's Cup went according to plan and exceeded many expectations. With the theme “"Synergy in Spirit, Excellence in Action, One Team, One Goal,"” This activity has proven that FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang students not only excel in academics and clinical fields, but also have a sporty, creative, and cultural spirit that is worthy of pride.
It is hoped that the 2026 Dean's Cup will not remain merely an annual event, but will become a milestone in the birth of a generation of medical and health students who are academically strong and rich in humanitarian values — as is the grand ideal of a civilizational campus.
