The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) officially marks its tenth anniversary today. The long journey over the past ten years has become an important momentum for the entire academic community to reflect on achievements and establish new commitments for the future advancement of the faculty. The Dean of FKIK, Prof. Yuyun, expressed his gratitude for the faculty's rapid development. He recalled the early days of FKIK's founding, which at that time only housed three study programs: the Bachelor of Medicine, the Professional Medicine, and the Bachelor of Pharmacy. Now, in the span of ten years, FKIK has spread its wings by managing six study programs, after successfully adding the Professional Pharmacy Study Program, the Master of Pharmacy, and the Master of Biomedicine.
This improvement is also directly proportional to the increasing quality of academic quality assurance. Starting from the accreditation predicate "Good", currently the Pharmacy Study Program and Pharmacist Profession have successfully achieved the predicate "Very Good", while the Medical Study Program has successfully obtained the predicate "Excellent" and going forward we will continue the process. The next target is to bring the Pharmacy cluster to achieve Excellent accreditation, while Medicine is prepared to transform towards international class," said Prof. Yuyun with full confidence. Simultaneously with the process towards Excellent accreditation, the Pharmacy cluster is also preparing for regional level certification through ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). This certification is projected to equalize the quality of FKIK graduates throughout Southeast Asia.
On this 10th anniversary, Prof. Yuyun also conveyed a message and deep hopes for the entire extended FKIK family, especially for the students who he called the center of all academic activities (core business education). Students are expected to consistently maintain and promote the institution's good name within the community. Furthermore, Prof. Yuyun emphasized the importance of a distinctive identity, which is the primary characteristic of this faculty's graduates. FKIK is committed to producing healthcare professionals who not only excel in the integration of medical and health sciences, but also become figures who can contribute to the community. the head of the family. This character is characterized by four main pillars: spiritual depth, moral excellence, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity. Similar expectations are also placed on lecturers and educational staff to continue working together to improve their capacity to support a superior educational ecosystem.
