As a manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in community service, the Qaryah Thayyibah Community Service Team of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has provided assistance in making Arafat Soap (Non-Aromatic Goat Milk Kefir) in order to improve the quality of health and welfare of the community in Polaman Village, Kalirejo Subdistrict, Lawang District, Malang Regency.

This community service team consists of lecturers and students including Dr. Tias Pramesti Griana, M.Biomed., Larasati Sekar Kinasih, M.Gz., Dr. Umaiyatus Syarifah, MA, Ahmad Nur Habib, Siti Fadilla, and Ahmad Taufiqurrohman.

The head of the community service team, Dr. Tias Pramesti Griana, M.Biomed., said that this mentoring aims to train the community in making useful and economically valuable products and can become a business opportunity for them to improve the economy.

Community service team member, Mrs. Larasati Sekar Kinasih, M.Gz., also explained that Arafat Soap (Non-Aromatic Kefir Milk This Goat Soap is made from natural ingredients like kefir and goat's milk. Arafat Soap has numerous benefits, including preventing dermatitis, treating dry skin, maintaining skin moisture, and many other benefits.

In addition, this Arafat soap also does not use additional fragrances so this Arafat soap is very suitable for use by pilgrims who are performing the Hajj pilgrimage where one of the conditions is not allowed to use fragrances, added Dr. Umaiyatus Syarifah, MA, when explaining the benefits of this Arafat soap to the public. Moreover, the hot weather in Saudi Arabia makes prospective pilgrims susceptible to dermatitis and dry skin conditions. By using this Arafat soap, it is hoped that it can be an effort to overcome these frequently occurring problems.

After educating the public about halal products and the benefits of Arafat soap, the next activity was a soap-making demonstration by students Ahmad Nur Habib, Siti Fadilla, and Ahmad Taufiqurrohman. They taught the community the steps of making Arafat soap so they could later practice it at home. The students explained the steps in detail, followed by a question-and-answer session and door prizes for those who answered the quizzes.

Thank God, from the beginning to the end of the event, all activities in this community service program ran smoothly, and the community was enthusiastic and seemed enthusiastic in participating in all processes of this activity. This is also inseparable from the thorough preparation carried out by the community service team. This preparation began with the fermentation of kefir in goat's milk, mixing the soap ingredients, and the process of molding this Arafat soap. The process of making this Arafat soap was carried out by students in the Research Laboratory located in the Medical Education study program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. All of this process was inseparable from the guidance and direction of the lecturers who always provided input and monitored the progress of the research.

This activity is not only a form of community service, but also an implementation of research conducted by lecturers and students in the community. It is hoped that this activity will benefit both lecturers and students, especially the community that has participated in the entire process.
