Malang — The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia held the inauguration of Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) simultaneously throughout Indonesia in a hybrid format on Thursday, May 21, 2026, which was centered in Jakarta and attended by all Ministry of Religious Affairs work units both online and offline.

From the Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University in Malang, 36 civil servants (CPNS) were officially inaugurated as State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Of these, four are from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK): Dr. Muhammad Farid Wafi, M.Biomed., Dr. Putri Aulawiya Rosyida Halim, apt. Alma Nuril Aliyah, M.Farm., and Achmad Arief Hidayatullah, S.Kom.

The inauguration began with remarks from the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), who congratulated all the new civil servants (CPNS) who had officially joined the civil service. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of time management and work ethic as essential elements of civil servant professionalism. He also encouraged them to focus not only on current performance but also on having a vision and projection for future development, which has been ingrained since the beginning of their service.

“"Discipline and integrity are important foundations for civil servants in providing the best service to the public," he said in his inaugural remarks.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. KH. Nasaruddin Umar, MA., also delivered remarks and led the symbolic inauguration from Jakarta. He urged all civil servants at the Ministry of Religious Affairs to uphold their mandate, integrity, and spirit of dedication in carrying out their duties as public servants.

The inauguration ceremony also included the simultaneous recitation of the civil servant oath and pledge by all inauguration participants. This moment officially marked the beginning of the new civil servants' service as part of the State Civil Apparatus within the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Following the completion of the inauguration ceremony by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the event continued with a briefing from Vice Rector I, Drs. H. Basri, MA., PhD. In his remarks, he congratulated all newly inaugurated civil servants and urged them to carry out their duties responsibly, maintain professionalism, and continue contributing to the institution's development.

With the inauguration of these CPNS, it is hoped that it will be able to strengthen the quality of human resources within the Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang, especially in the FKIK, in supporting education, services, and future development of the institution.
