In his remarks, he briefly explained the concept of curriculum learning and modules related to Hajj Health. Following the remarks, an MOU was signed between UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and the Hajj Health Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
This seminar was divided into 2 sessions, the first session from the Hajj Health Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Indonesian Hajj Medical Association (PERDOKHI), then the second session from the Surabaya Level 1 Port Health Office and the Malang Regency Health Office.
Indonesian Muslims performing the Hajj pilgrimage face significant health risks. The large number of pilgrims has led to increasingly long waiting times for the Hajj. Consequently, the number of prospective pilgrims at high risk of health problems is increasing. Yet, health is one of the three requirements for istita'ah (ability) for worship, along with material ability and religious knowledge.
According to Dr. Muchtaruddin Mansyur, the goal of every Hajj pilgrim is to be an accepted Hajj pilgrim. The requirements for Hajj are istithaah (having the ability), namely physical, practical, and ubudiyah (physical, spiritual, economic, and security). Istithaah from a health perspective means being injury-free, healthy, and fit. Istithaah is determined as an indicator of achieving health development, so that every pilgrim has the physical and mental ability to perform the Hajj pilgrimage completely. Therefore, determinant factors must be identified and anticipated from the start. The results of the health examination will form the basis for health development with a five-level prevention approach, namely: Health Promotion, Specific Protection, Early Diagnostic and Prompt Treatment, Disability Limitation, Rehabilitation
The general overview of the 2016 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims, based on education, is that most are still elementary school or have low education, and most are housewives. To address this, the Hajj Health Center (PUSKES) mobilized Hajj health workers divided into four teams: the Promotion and Prevention Team, the Curative and Rehabilitative Team, the Rapid Response Team, and the TKHI (Teacher of Health) in each group. This year, Indonesian Hajj health workers received appreciation and awards. The Ambassador of Health Awareness in Hajj season 1437 H, said Dr. Muchtaruddin Mansyur.
For the next speaker, Dr. dr. Fidiansjah Mursjid, SpKJ, MPH, emphasized the role of Perdokhi in the development of Hajj Medical science, where this Association is autonomous and under the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI). Health coaching to behave SMART in overcoming health problems in a HOLISTIC manner (Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Social).
The ongoing cycle of Hajj healthcare services in the past has been perceived as placing greater emphasis on curative and rehabilitative aspects during the Hajj stay in Saudi Arabia. This is influenced by the suboptimal health checks and guidance in Indonesia, specifically during the pre-embarkation and embarkation phases. Therefore, in accordance with the health paradigm that emphasizes promotive and preventive aspects in Hajj healthcare services, this ongoing cycle needs to be changed by further optimizing health checks and guidance for pilgrims during their stay in Indonesia (pre-embarkation and embarkation) to strengthen curative and rehabilitative services while in Saudi Arabia. Thus, the prepared input is truly in accordance with the level of capability and ability of pilgrims optimally so they can perform the Hajj properly and correctly and achieve an accepted Hajj. Amen YRA.
