Malang – The Student Senate (SEMA) of the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Malang introduced the program "“Caring for Others Scholarship”", which is a breakthrough program in the field of humanity and caring for others. This program is motivated by the concern of SEMA FKIK, especially for FKIK students who still face financial difficulties in accessing education. The purpose of the "Caring for Others Scholarship" program is to slightly ease the burden on FKIK students in pursuing higher education due to economic difficulties, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The implementation of the "Caring for Others Scholarship" program was not instant. It took at least five months to realize all existing agendas. The first agenda implemented was a socialization (21/08/2021), by inviting the dean's office, heads of study programs and secretaries at FKIK UIN Malang as well as all FKIK UIN Malang students to provide information regarding the "Caring for Others Scholarship" program. At the event, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, M. Kes., Sp. Rad (K) as Dean of FKIK UIN Malang expressed her high appreciation for the implementation of the "Caring for Others Scholarship" program and hoped that programs like this could continue to be held and improved.

The "Caring for Others Scholarship" program utilizes a donation-based fundraising mechanism over a five-month period. During this period, at least 6.3 million rupiah has been raised from donors, including lecturers and academics from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang, students, guardians, and the general public. The funds will then be distributed to the selected scholarship recipients in a fair and equitable manner.

On Wednesday (02/02/2022), the main agenda was the "Awarding of the Care for Others Scholarship" to three FKIK UIN Malang students who had passed the selection stage. This agenda was attended and opened directly by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Alvi Milliana, M. Biomed. According to Dr. Alvi, SEMA FKIK UIN Malang has succeeded in implementing an extraordinary program. Therefore, he hopes that this program can be continued into the next period. He also congratulated the three students selected as recipients of the "Care for Others Scholarship" and gave a message that this scholarship can be used as well as possible for the benefit of the smooth study of its recipients.
