Rock – Having a high competitive spirit is sometimes not matched by a clear understanding of administrative processes. To address this challenge, the Special Division Avicenna Pharmacist Team under the auspices of the Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, took a strategic step by holding a Socialization of Competition Proposal Submission and Student Activity Credit Unit (SKKM) Filling.
Activities that take place online through Zoom Meeting on Saturday (2/5/2026) was attended by 83 participants, dominated by students of the Pharmacy Study Program class of 2025. This event was designed not only to convey technical information, but also to build systematic understanding so that students are better prepared and structured in participating in various competitions.
Responding to Student Concerns
The topics raised in this socialization are a direct response to the main challenges students often face when seeking to develop their potential through competitions. Questions such as how to submit a proposal with a supervisor, accommodation funding procedures, and confusing categories for filling out the SKKM (Competitive Skills Competency Test) often present both psychological and administrative obstacles for students.
“"I want to participate in a competition with my supervisor, but how do I apply? I made it to the semifinals of the essay competition yesterday, but I'm worried about the accommodation and transportation costs. Is it possible to apply to the faculty? How do I fill out the SKKM?"” is a complaint that represents the confusion of pharmacy students of the class of 2025.
Comprehensive and Coherent Education
In her presentation, speaker Ainiyatul Jannah discussed two crucial aspects that are really needed by students today:
- Competition Proposal Submission Flow: Participants are provided with structured guidance, from preparation and drafting to the verification and approval process. This understanding is crucial to minimizing technical errors that often occur early in the application process.
- SKKM Filling and Documentation: This session emphasized the importance of documenting every competition participation as part of an academic record. Accurate and valid completion of the SKKM will be invaluable for students' portfolios after graduation.
Participant Success and Enthusiasm
Overall, the event proceeded smoothly and interactively. The event's organizing committee, Dafa Rahma Nabila, expressed her appreciation for the active participation of the students in attendance.
“"Alhamdulillah, the competition proposal submission socialization and SKKM completion activities went smoothly. The expected output from this activity was also achieved, as evidenced by the participants' enthusiasm and improved understanding of the competition's administrative process," said Dafa.
With this activity, it is hoped that pharmacy students of FKIK UIN Malang will no longer hesitate to show off their skills in various national and international competitions, because the administrative flow and institutional support are well understood.
