UIN Malang is ready to host the 2023 Indonesian Association of State Medical Faculties (AFKNI) Deans' Forum.

The Faculty of Medicine and Medicine (FKIK) of UIN Malang has been appointed as the host of the 2023 Association of Indonesian State Medical Faculties (AFKNI) Deans' Forum. This annual event, organized by AFKNI, aims to discuss issues related to medical education and other national health issues. The forum, themed "Anticipating State Medical Faculties in Preparing Human Resources in the Era of the Omnibus Law Bill in the Health Sector," is scheduled to take place from February 24-26, 2023.

Preparations began in late November 2022. The AFKNI UIN Malang committee has been in intensive communication with the central AFKNI management regarding the event's implementation. Currently, preparations for the event have reached 501 to 601 TP3T, and there are still technical matters that will be intensively carried out this month as the event approaches its scheduled date. This was confirmed by Mr. Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., Chair of the AFKNI 2023 Committee.

This year, AFKNI will discuss several important things in this dean's forum event, including; "New Regulations in the Promotion of Functional Positions" which will be delivered by Prof. Dr. dr. Loeki Enggar Fitri, M.Kes., S.ParK., Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University, Malang., "Improving Lecturer Human Resources to Increase Student Quotas" by the Director of Human Resources of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Dr. Mohammad Sofwan Effendi, M.Ed., "University Support for Increasing Medical Student Quotas" by the Rector of Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta who is also the founder of AFKNI Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG., Ph.D., and "Good Practices in the Implementation of Hybrid Specialist Education" given by Prof. Dr. dr. Budi Santoso, Sp.OG(K), Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya and Chair of AIPKI. In addition, all deans and delegates from 40 state medical faculties in Indonesia will attend the event. Also invited are the Rectorate of UIN Malang, the Batu City Government, and the Head of the Batu City Health Office.

As host, UIN Malang is very enthusiastic about organizing this event and hopes to make the best contribution to the development of state medical faculties in Indonesia. This event is believed to have a positive impact on the development of state medical faculties and strengthen UIN Malang's position as one of the leading universities in the fields of medicine and health.

Mr. Yossi Indra Kusuma hopes that after this event, the issues discussed will be answered and solutions or insights will be found. Furthermore, he hopes that UIN Malang will be able to promote and enhance the presence of its medical faculty through this activity and compete with other senior medical schools in Indonesia.
