Saturday (27/2/2021) was a historic day for 27 students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, especially the Undergraduate Program of Pharmacy (PSSF), because the first period of 2021 graduation ceremony was successfully held. The event, entitled Zoomisium, was held at the Ibnu Thufail Building, Campus 3, FKIK UIN Malang and was attended by a limited number of FKIK UIN Malang Dean's Leadership. Of the 27 students who participated in the graduation ceremony, 8 of them were international students from Sudan. The implementation of this graduation ceremony also served as a ceremonial moment that marked the end of the study period for students and was declared graduated.
The Zoomisium event was opened at 09.00 WIB with remarks by the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, Sp. Rad (K) followed by an academic report read by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Apt. Roihatul Muti'ah, SF, M. Kes. In her report, Prof. Roiha announced the 3 best graduates in this period's graduation. Among them are Khairiatul Wida (GPA 3.57) daughter of Mr. Lukman from Tegal as the first best graduate, Khadijah (GPA 3.46) daughter of Mr. Usman Baghaust from Sumenep as the second best graduate, and Rona Zahidah Hidayat (GPA 3.41) daughter of Mr. H. Imam Hidayat Noer from Sumenep as the third best graduate.
The inauguration procession of graduates was solemnly attended by participants from their respective residences accompanied by their parents. "We want to involve the parents of the graduates because in fact the happiness felt today is happiness for the lecturers, students, and parents of the guardians," said Prof. Yuyun. On the occasion of the 2020 Period I Zoomisium, there was a special moment because the speech of the graduates' representatives was delivered by a student from Sudan, Anood Mohammed Mohammed Alamin. Anood was one of 8 other graduates from the Middle East. The eight graduates included Rufaie Jamal Rufaie Mhmoud, Hossam Awad Hassan Abdalla, Anood Mohammed Mohammed Alamin, Tarek Ahmed Mohammed Ali, Wamda Ezaldeen Ahmed Kabbash, Baraa Moustafa Mohammed Mohammed Ahmed, Mazin Amir Mohammed Khlil and Hana Alamin Mahmoud. In his trilingual speech (Arabic-Indonesian-English) Anood conveyed his impressions during his studies at PSSF FKIK UIN Malang. "Thanks to the patience of our lecturers and friends, we were able to complete our studies successfully. Although our cultures and customs are different, and communication is difficult, if we work together and have a strong desire, God willing, we will succeed," said Anood.
