Accreditation Visitation of the Medical Education Study Program and the Medical Profession Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maliki Malang

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Malang held an accreditation visitation for the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Program which took place from February 26 – March 1, 2025. This activity was held in the 3rd Floor Hall of the FKIK Campus 3 building and was attended by three assessor teams from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Health Education (LAM-PTKes), namely Prof. Dr. dr. Santoso, MS., Sp.Ok, dr. Irwin Aras, M.Epid., M.MedEd, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ratna Dwi Restuti, Sp.THTBKL,Subso.Oto (K), MPH, Dr.dr.Selvi Nafianti, M.ked(Ped), Sp.A(K), Prof. Dr. Apt. Ajeng Diantini, M.Si.

In his remarks, the Rector of UIN Malang stated that the university has seven faculties and one postgraduate program, with a total of 58 study programs and 19,160 students from across Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke. "We welcome students from across cultures, religions, races, and ethnicities," he said. The Rector also highlighted the university's success in twice achieving the predicate of excellence thanks to international recognition.

The Faculty of Medicine has graduated five classes of students, while the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program has graduated two classes with a 100% graduation rate. The Rector of UIN Malang hopes that the integrated learning model implemented at FKIK will continue to be improved to enhance the quality of education in the study programs there.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. dr. Santoso, MS., Sp.Ok., stated that the accreditation assessment would be conducted with an objective approach. "We will use the LAM-PTKes assessment without comparing it with other Medical Education and Medical Professional Programs," he emphasized. He added that the visitation aims to provide an accurate report to LAM-PTKes based on conditions on the ground.

Prof. Santoso also invited all parties to cooperate in implementing this visitation so that it can run smoothly and according to expectations. "We ask for the cooperation of all the ladies and gentlemen so that the visitation can run smoothly," he said. With this accreditation, it is hoped that the Medical Education Study Program and the Medical Profession Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang, can continue to develop and contribute positively to the world of health education in Indonesia.
