Tuesday (27/04/2021) and Thursday (29/04/2021), coinciding with the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1442 H this year, the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang carried out socialization of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang.

Although it is only a little over a year old since it was first established by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of UIN Malang, the Quality Assurance Unit of FKIK UIN Malang, led by Apt. Hajar Sugihantoro, S.Farm., MPH, has demonstrated its extraordinary contribution to the development of the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at FKIK UIN Malang. During this period, UPM has succeeded in formulating the SPMI FKIK UIN Malang through long stages. Finally, from Tuesday to Thursday (27-29/04/2021), the socialization of this SPMI was held for all lecturers and educational staff under the scope of FKIK. On Tuesday, UPM targeted the Research and Community Service Unit (UPPM) related to the socialization of research and service standards in the faculty, while on Thursday the socialization was aimed at all levels of the dean's office, units in study programs, both Pharmacy and Medicine Study Programs, as well as staff and lecturers.

According to UPM Chairman Apt. Hajar, the importance of this SPMI socialization is to instill a common understanding among all FKIK stakeholders in implementing the quality assurance system. "Through the SPMI socialization, we want to implement a quality assurance cycle based on the Determination-Implementation-Evaluation-Control-Improvement (PPEPP) flow as a whole," he continued.
It is hoped that with the dissemination of this SPMI, all relevant units will be aware of, understand, and, most importantly, fully commit to implementing the established standards. This will optimize the service provided to the community by FKIK UIN Malang, a state educational institution under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
