Plans to Build International Cooperation, FKIK UIN Malang Holds Sharing Session with Collaboration Unit of Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (UIN Maliki Malang) held sharing session with the Collaboration Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University (FKUB), inviting Dr. Happy Kurnia Permatasari, Ph.D., virtually (1/10/2020). The event, themed "Strategy Public Relations in Building International Cooperation”, in line with the hope of realizing an internationally reputable university in the framework of the 59th Anniversary of Maulidiyah University of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang with the theme “UIN Maliki Revolution Towards Smart Islamic University”.
“This event invites Dr. Happy to sharing "His experience, especially his experience in international collaboration, as well as UB's public relations team, so that FKIK can also progress together with UB," said Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yuniewati PW, M.Kes., Sp.Rad(K).
The Vice Rector for Cooperation and Development, Dr. Uril Bahruddin, MA, delivered remarks at the beginning of the event. He stated that cooperation is essential in life. "One of the keys to the Prophet Muhammad's success in preaching and developing Islam was good cooperation with various parties," he concluded. He also expressed his appreciation to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) for organizing this event.
Cooperation is an important thing for universities, especially international cooperation, in accordance with the Key Performance Indicator (IKK) target of the Directorate General of Higher Education to increase the number of universities collaborating with foreign countries.
“"The Ristekdikti strategy for internationalization is to increase international publications, optimize international collaboration, increase student and lecturer mobility for scholarships and international exchanges, and improve the university's ranking to enter the top 500 category." World Class University (WCU),” said Dr. Happy. The scope of the collaboration also includes education, research, community service, and other areas such as organizing conferences, seminars, or training that are considered beneficial and useful. In addition to discussing the form of international cooperation, Dr. Happy also explained several supporting documents required. The event also invited Mrs. Oky Dian, as a representative of UB Public Relations, to provide sharing regarding the relationship between university public relations and faculties at Brawijaya University.
