The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is truly committed to improving the quality of its education and preparing everything necessary to produce graduates who can compete not only regionally but also internationally. This is evidenced by the holding of the event sharing best practices between the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang and the Faculty of Medicine of Brawijaya University (FKUB) on Thursday (September 24, 2020). The event's theme was "Developing the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Towards an International Reputation.".

The event was held both online using the application zoom meeting, or offline/On-Campus Meeting (RDK) which is divided into 3 locations simultaneously in the Ibnu Thufail Building, FKIK UIN Malang. The course of the event sharing best practices together with FKUB was guided directly by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. apt. Roihatul Muti'ah, SF, M.Kes, and opened by the Deputy Chancellor 1 of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Prof. Dr. HM Zainuddin, MA., who was present at the FKIK Campus of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang accompanied by the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of UIN Malang, Dr. H. Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, M.Pd.I. In addition, also present online were the Deputy Chancellor 4 for Cooperation, Dr. Uril Bahruddin, MA and the Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs and Cooperation (AAKK) Drs. H. Mahfudh Shodar, M.Ag.

Acting as moderator, the Dean of FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K) started the discussion by introducing the main speaker, Prof. dr. Mohammad Saifur Rohman, Sp.JP(K), Ph.D. as the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya. Next, the event continued with a presentation by dr. Saifur and continued with a session of giving opinions and questions and answers by the audience. In his material, dr. Saifur explained the steps that have been taken by FKUB in building the achievement of international recognition. More focused, dr. Saifur also revealed that improving the quality of human resources is important in achieving international competitiveness.

“"Internationally reputable human resources can be developed through increased collaboration, particularly in research, with researchers and institutions abroad," he said.

Furthermore, Dr. Saifur revealed strategies that can be implemented to build international cooperation, including through programs. benchmarking, joint research, And joint publication. In addition, it can also be realized through MoUs between institutions, sending staff for further studies abroad, holding programs sandwich, online lecture And proctorship”" he said.

On this occasion, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang also exchanged opinions, represented by Vice Rector 4 for Cooperation Dr. Uril Bahruddin, MA, regarding what the university has done through the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in establishing international cooperation, especially in the field of Hajj Medicine.

“"At the end of 2019, represented by the previous Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, namely Prof. Dr. dr. Bambang Pardjianto, Sp.B., Sp.BP-RE(K), it was carried out benchmarking "We are going to Saudi Arabia to establish cooperation in various places such as the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Umm Al-Qura University, King Saud University, and several hospitals, one of which is King Fahad Hospital," he said.

Finally, Prof. Yuyun as moderator said that the session sharing This is important to do because by carrying out the mission of "moving forward together", this activity can be very beneficial for both institutions, namely FKIK UIN Malang and FKUB to be able to realize a Faculty of Medicine with an international reputation.
