Prof. Dr. Dr. Bambang Pardjianto, Sp.B., Sp.BP-RE (K)

In conjunction with the 71st Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs Charity Day ceremony, the Rector of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang (UIN Malang) Prof. Dr. Mudjia Rahardjo, M.Si. inaugurated the first Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Prof. Dr. dr. Bambang Pardjianto, Sp.B., Sp.BP-RE (K) who is familiarly called Prof. Bambang is a Professor at Brawijaya University Malang who was appointed to lead the new faculty which houses the three departments.
The new faculty led by Prof. Bambang was established based on the Decree of the Rector of UIN Malang Number: Un.03/PP.00.9/3218/2016 dated June 21, 2016. The forerunner to the establishment of FKIK UIN Malang was the establishment of the Pharmacy study program with the decision of the Director General of Pendis Number 2753 of 2012 dated December 17, 2012. However, Pharmacy at that time was under the Faculty of Science and Technology. On March 28, 2016, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education issued Decree Number 126//KPT/I/2016 concerning the opening of the Doctor Education and Doctor Profession study program at UIN Malang.
After the inauguration, the Chancellor of UIN Malang immediately gave a big task, because at the beginning of the year FKIK would undergo a revision for accreditation.
Prof. Bambang was born in Blitar in the 70s. The husband of Dr. R Ay Siti Lintang Kawuryan SpA(K) completed his elementary education in Surabaya and high school in Semarang. This doctor graduated from Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta (1974), obtained a surgical specialist at Airlangga University (1986), and a plastic surgery specialist at the University of Indonesia (1991), earned a doctorate in medical science at Airlangga University (2005), and in 2007 was appointed as a plastic surgery consultant by the College of Plastic Surgery. Prof. Bambang also served as head of the SMF Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital. Starting his career as a lecturer with the position of assistant expert since 1976, Prof. Bambang received a certificate of appreciation from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, East Timor Provincial Office in 1991, and Satyalancana Karya Satya 20 years in 2004. Throughout his career, Bambang has produced many scientific works. And the peak of his career, he was appointed as Professor at Brawijaya University Malang in 2008.
The professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery is a leader with a humble demeanor. For him, serving the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine, UIN Malang is part of a noble ideal, a form of devotion to the development of medical science and Islam. At an age when he should be approaching retirement, he is willing to dedicate himself to religion and the advancement of medical science. (SH)
