Virtual Opening of the 2020 Pharmacy Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMMF)

The Pharmacy Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMMF) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang officially opened on Saturday (10/31/2020) and will run for 8 days until Sunday (11/8/2020). The opening was held online and attended by all new students of the Pharmacy Study Program, class of 2020. This year's LKMMF activity took the theme "“Shaping Personality and Brotherhood to Produce Ulul Albab Pharmacists”" and aims to form pharmacists who are responsible, active, critical, moral and have a high sense of integrity as stated in the vision and mission of the Pharmacy Study Program, FKIK UIN Malang.

The virtual opening of the LKMMF began with remarks from the chief executive and the head of the 2020/2021 HMPSF Habbatussauda' then continued with remarks by the Secretary of the Pharmacy Study Program, FKIK UIN Malang, apt. Yen Yen Ari Indrawijaya, M.Farm.Klin and a presentation by the Head of the Pharmacy Study Program, apt. Abdul Hakim, MPI, M.Farm regarding the integration of the fields of pharmacy and Islam for the realization of an integrative pharmacy study program with an international reputation.

One of the events at the 2020 LKMMF was a motivational class led by Zahra Umami, S.Farm., the top graduate of the Pharmacy Study Program from the class of 2016. She emphasized the importance of being an active student, both academically and non-academically. "Combine your academic and non-academic pursuits!" was Zahra's message to the new pharmacy students. The first day of LKMMF concluded with focus group discussion (FGD) by participants discussing pharmaceutical-related issues. Through FGDs, participants are trained to express their opinions in a deliberative forum, thus fostering broad insight and critical and active thinking, particularly in addressing the issues surrounding them.
