Student Senate Conference (MUSEMA): A Stepping Stone for FKIK Students to Enter Campus Government
The Student Republic at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is nothing other than a miniature state that functions as a learning place for students and Stepping Stone to participate in the campus government environment. The Student Republic is based on the principle of student democracy: of students, by students, and for students. To maximize its effectiveness, the legislative body, known as the Student Senate (SEMA), with specific functions: legislation, budgeting, and control. One such effort is the holding of the Student Senate Conference (MUSEMA) by the Student Senate of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
The MUSEMA activity was held on Sunday (29/11/2020) involving the University Student Senate, Ad Hoc, FKIK Student Senate, FKIK Student Executive Council (DEMA), Medical Education Study Program Student Association (HMPPD), Pharmacy Study Program Student Association (HMPSF), and all active FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang students. This activity was held offline in the Hall of Campus III UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and online through Zoom Meeting. The enthusiasm of all the participants in the meeting was very apparent, not only in the offline implementation, but also in the... zoom meeting. The enthusiasm of all parties involved in the MUSEMA event meant that it lasted until the afternoon. The discussion at the MUSEMA covered the work programs and their implementation within each of the FKIK Student Organizations (ORMAWA), challenges encountered in ORMAWA management, and concluded with a discussion of recommendations for the next FKIK ORMAWA management term.

As student organizers and activists, we must continually increase our innovation and creativity to bring about change, both for the country and for our own campus," Farchan, Chair of the FKIK Student Executive Board, emphasized.
Unlike the previous MUSEMA, this year's MUSEMA must be held amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring all participants to attend in person to undergo a health history screening seven days before the event. This screening is conducted through a screening process at the event venue. Google Form provided by the MUSEMA organizer, namely SEMA FKIK. Furthermore, throughout the event, all parties involved consistently implemented COVID-19 prevention health protocols.
