The opening of the 2023 Dean Cup was held with great fanfare in the courtyard of the Ibnu Sina Building, Campus III of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang on Friday, February 17, 2023. With the tagline "Bring the Heat and Burn Your Spirit," the 2023 Dean Cup brings a bright and fresh new feel, reminiscent of summer at the beach. The Dean Cup itself is an annual event regularly held by the Student Executive Board (DEMA) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences as a sports and arts festival. It is not only intended for students, but also for the entire academic community, including students, lecturers, and educators. This activity is oriented as a forum for competitive momentum to foster a sense of family among the entire FKIK academic community.
Opening Ceremony The 2023 Dean's Cup began with a video screening opening ceremony, recitation of the Quran, and singing the song Indonesia Raya and the Hymn of FKIK. The event continued with a dance performance by the Dean Cup 2023 which quite captivated the attendees who attended this event. Then continued with remarks given by the Chairperson of the Committee, M. Abbas Arriziq, Chair of DEMA FKIK, M. Abdulloh Umar, Deputy Dean III FKIK, dr. Alvi Miliana, M. Biomed, and the last one was given by the Dean of FKIK, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M. Kes, Sp.Rad(K). As a symbol, the release of pink and blue balloons was carried out by all attendees led by the Dean of FKIK, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M. Kes, Sp.Rad(K).
The 2023 Dean's Cup features eight competitions, including five sports and three arts competitions. These are badminton, table tennis, and volleyball., E-Sports, basketball, and futsal. Interestingly, this year's three arts competitions have been modified to make them less monotonous. These competitions include creative flash mobs and duets. competition, and poetry writing and reading. The entire competition will take place from February 17 to February 18, 2023.

Hopefully, all attendees will understand the essence of the Dean's Cup as an activity that will strengthen camaraderie and a celebration marked by joy and entertainment. There should be no anarchic sentiments or actions during this event," said M. Abbas Arriziq, Chief Executive of the 2023 Dean's Cup.
