Launching of the book "The Journey to Normal" by FKIK UIN Malang

An achievement for FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, on Saturday morning (28/11/2020) has successfully launched a long-awaited book entitled "The Journey to Normal: A Guide to Adapting to New Habits During the Covid-19 Pandemic". One of the things that made this book launch event feel special was the testimony delivered by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp. Rad(K) as well as the live presence of dr. Mariya Mubarika, Special Staff of the Indonesian Ministry of Health for Health Human Resource Development to conduct a book review that was being launched at the event.

The Journey to Normal Book Launch and Review event was held online through live broadcasts on Zoom and Youtube from the Public Relations of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang. In addition to being attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang, this event was also attended by attendees from various elements, ranging from practitioners in the health and pharmaceutical industries, representatives of health-based educational institutions throughout Indonesia, and the general public. The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M.Kes., Sp.Rad(K) in her remarks expressed her hope for the launch of this book, "We want to create a safe and comfortable learning and innovation environment amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Because we all don't know when this pandemic will end, but even so, education must continue.".

The highlight of the Launching and Book Review was hosted by Dr. Christyaji Indradmojo, Sp.EM who is the head of the COVID-19 Task Force at UIN Malang with speakers Dr. Abdul Malik Setiawan, M.Infect.Dis as the book editor and Dr. Mariya Mubarika as the book reviewer. In her presentation, Dr. Mariya managed to explore the contents of the book completely and in depth and provided her subjective views regarding the shortcomings and advantages of the contents of the Journey to Normal book. "Honestly, I feel happy, because finally an initiative was born from an educational institution such as FKIK UIN Malang, a book that really helps ease the work of the Indonesian Ministry of Health because its contents are applicable and relevant to be implemented, especially when face-to-face learning will soon begin," appreciated Dr. Mariya when starting to review the contents of the book. According to her, one of the advantages of this book is the implementation guide electronic health record This is in line with the development of the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Furthermore, Dr. Mariya also outlined aspects that could be further developed in the book, including the need for more comprehensive risk management guidelines for responding to situations where students are identified as positive for COVID-19.

Overall, the Journey to Normal Book Launch and Review was a success, evident from the high level of enthusiasm shown by the participants, both in terms of attendance and the number of questions posed to the speakers. Separately, the Head of the Launch and Book Review Committee, Apt. Alif Firman Firdausy, S.Farm., M.Biomed., expressed his gratitude to Allah SWT for the smooth running of this event. "In the future, we hope that this book will be widely accepted and used by the public as a consideration for formulating policies for implementing face-to-face learning. Therefore, this book will be freely accessible through the FKIK UIN Malang Website," he concluded.
