On Thursday (September 16, 2021), the signing ceremony of the MoU between the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, the Karsa Husada General Hospital in Batu City, and the Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Mental Hospital in Lawang, took place in the 3rd Floor Hall of the Al Biruni Building, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang. This collaboration aligns with the goals and aspirations of all three parties, namely to provide quality clinical-based medical education for future doctors.

The collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, and Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Mental Hospital, Lawang, will be implemented in the field of education, specifically as a primary educational platform for students of the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Programs. This is also in line with the mission of Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, and Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Mental Hospital, Lawang, which is to establish an affiliated teaching hospital.

During their medical education, students will continue on to the Medical Profession Study Program. The Medical Profession Program is a professional stage in medical education, implemented through clinical and community learning, aimed at meeting the competencies required for students to be certified as doctors. Medical Profession students will undertake clinical learning at Karsa Husada General Hospital in Batu City and Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Mental Hospital in Lawang.

The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out by 3 parties, namely the Director of Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, dr. Tries Anggraini, M. Kes and the Director of the dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Mental Hospital dr. Yuniar, Sp.KJ. as well as the Dean of the FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW., M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K). This event was also attended by the Vice Rector 4, Cooperation and Institutional Development Division of UIN Malang, Dr. H. Isroqunnajah, M.Ag.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement began with several remarks. The first remark was by the Director of the Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Mental Hospital, Dr. Yuniar, Sp.KJ., who stated that the Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Mental Hospital is implementing the Hajj Health Manasik Program which focuses on preventive and promotive programs for the development of Hajj pilgrims. The goal is to ensure that Hajj pilgrims do not experience symptoms of chronic diseases during the Hajj pilgrimage. He also stated that Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang is opening up opportunities for research collaborations for the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

The second speech was delivered by the Director of Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, Dr. Tries Anggraini, M. Kes. Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, opens opportunities for collaboration for clinical learning processes, both offline and online, by implementing strict health protocols. The purpose of this collaboration is of course to improve the clinical competence of students. In addition, improvements and evaluations are needed for the clinical learning process, so that the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, can improve its accreditation. She hopes that FKIK can provide color in the preparation of generations in the fields of medicine and health sciences. Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, as the main teaching hospital, is very proud to be a partner in the clinical education process for FKIK students, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This is in line with the goal of Karsa Husada Hospital, Batu City, in the near future, which is to become a teaching hospital.

The third speech was delivered by the Vice Rector 4, Cooperation and Institutional Development of UIN Malang, Dr. H. Isroqunnajah, M.Ag. He conveyed that the community's enormous enthusiasm for the FKIK UIN Maliki Malang must be balanced with a shared responsibility to improve the accreditation of the Medical Education Study Program. He expressed his deepest gratitude to RSU Karsa Husada Kota Batu and RSJ dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang for assisting the clinical learning process for students.

The signing of the Trias Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Karsa Husada General Hospital, Batu City, and Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Mental Hospital, Lawang, marks the official launch of the Tripartite collaboration between the three institutions. It is hoped that this collaboration will improve the educational capabilities and clinical competencies of doctors graduating from FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
