The final peak of CARDION Volume 7 was successfully held on the 4th floor of the Campus II Shelter House, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang on Sunday, February 12, 2023. CARDION (Science and Primary Medical Competition) is a series of competitions held by the Medical Education Study Program Student Association (HMPPD) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The competitions include the Primary Science and Medical Olympiad, Public Poster Competition, and the SBMPTN Try Out. After several years of online and in-person implementation, hybrid, This year CARDION was successfully held offline or offline which presents an increasingly strong competitive atmosphere.
The entire series of events began at 07.30 WIB. Interestingly, in the implementation of CARDION Volume 7, the opening remarks were delivered by several leaders who were not only from within UIN Malang such as the Deputy Dean III of FKIK, dr. Alvi Milliana, M. Biomed, Head of the PSPD Study Program, dr. Tias Pramesti Griana, M. Biomed., and the Head of HMPPD, Habib Hidayatullah, but also delivered by the Mayor of Malang. Drs. H. Sutiaji who was represented by Expert Staff 2 for Economics and Finance, M. Sailendra ST, MT.
“"Currently, studying science and media is very difficult. Therefore, this event is expected to improve students' mindsets about the world of health and also stimulate a competitive spirit among them. I hope this event can be held regularly with the aim of developing competent human resources in the fields of science and health," stated the Mayor of Malang in his remarks, delivered by Expert Staff 2 for Economics and Finance.
Next, the activity continued with rally The Olympiad semifinals and the final public poster presentation. Then, the Olympiad finalists were announced, followed by the final round. After a lengthy process, Team Barakallah 3 from MAN 2 Malang City emerged as the first-place Olympiad winner, and Team Siv Infynithree from SMAN 1 Kencong as the first-place public poster winner.
As the Head of the Barakallah Team from MAN 2 Malang City, Nadiya Rahma Ihsan admitted that it was like playing roller coaster in working on the questions in the CARDION Olympiad competition Volume 7. According to him, the questions raised have a fairly high level of difficulty, university standard questions. The leader of the Siv Infynithree Team from SMAN 1 Kencong, Sevandia Ardhava admitted to being nervous and a little afraid in preparing the poster presentation material and in the presentation. He and his team did not expect that they could win this competition. In the future, he hopes that CARDION will develop further and be even better.
