Small Dayak Onions

We often use the proverb "Small, but very strong," which means "Even though it's small, it has great courage." However, for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang, the more appropriate expression is "Small, but Dayak Onion." It's no wonder, in its relatively young age of about 2 years, FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has achieved impressive achievements and research, one of which is research on Dayak Onions. This is proven by the achievements of two FK UIN Malang students in May, namely Rislan Faiz Muhammad and Roudhotul Husnul Khotimah who won 2nd and 3rd place in the Asthma Counseling Competition in Malang City, in the first week of May, organized by PPDS (Pulmonary Specialist Doctor Education Program) FK UB and raised by Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to raise awareness and concern for asthma worldwide. This year's World Asthma Day has the theme "“Never too early, never too late.”.

Not wanting to be outdone by their students, from among the lecturers, the Natural Product Research Team of the Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang has been working hard to find a new drug to treat cancer. The team consists of Dr. Roihatul Muti'ah, SF, Apt., M.Kes, Dr. Retno Susilowati, M.Si, Rahmi Annisa, S.Farm., Apt., M.Farm, drg.
