Annual Symposium on Hajj and Umrah Medicine (ANSHAR) 2019

The Medical Education Program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has set a vision to become a leading Medical Education Program, producing physicians with spiritual depth, moral nobility, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity, as well as excellence in medical tourism, particularly the Hajj. This excellence in Hajj health is based on the goal of supporting efforts to improve health services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

The implementation of Hajj health excellence in research involves the development of Hajj Medicine and cutting-edge research to produce the latest findings to address health issues during the Hajj. Scientific development and research findings in Hajj Medicine must be disseminated to the academic community and the general public through seminars and broad-based scientific meetings. Therefore, a national-scale forum is needed to disseminate knowledge in Hajj Medicine. Holding national-scale scientific forums is also expected to improve the competence of Indonesian healthcare workers in the field of Hajj Medicine. This will be beneficial in preparing healthcare workers, both doctors and nurses, who will serve on the front lines of healthcare services for Hajj pilgrims, particularly for the upcoming 2020 Hajj.

Annual Symposium on Hajj and Umrah Medicine (ANSHAR) 2019 is a scientific meeting organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This national-scale symposium takes the theme Optimization of Preventive and Mitigation Efforts in Religious Mass Gathering (Case Study on Hajj)”. This event also aims to provide a scientific platform for lecturers, researchers, students and Hajj medical science activists to disseminate research results in the form of scientific papers and scientific posters at national-scale forums.
