The Faculty of Medicine and Medicine (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Successfully Holds an Online Graduation Ceremony via Zoom and the Oath-taking Ceremony for Young Doctors

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang (UIN Maliki Malang) successfully held the graduation ceremony and oath-taking ceremony for the first term of young doctors in 2020, both online and offline (Thursday, August 6). The event was held in two locations: the mini hall and the multipurpose hall on the first floor of the Ibnu Thufail building, FKIK, Campus 3, UIN Maliki Malang.

On this occasion, through a limited invitation, the Chancellor of UIN Maliki Malang, Prof. Dr. Abdul Haris., M.Ag., FKIK professor Prof. Dr. dr. Bambang Pardjianto, Sp.B., Sp.BP-RE(K)., the head of the FKIK dean, the committee and the best graduates of each study program were present offline through the Zoom application. The event was broadcast online with participants of lecturers, students, parents of students and several other invitees.

Participants of the 2002 Period I Graduation Ceremony, FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, are currently following the online process of the event.

“"UIN Maliki Malang has lofty aspirations, one of which is to contribute to humanity through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service. One of the most important commitments is preparing medical personnel and other healthcare professionals," said Prof. Haris.

Based on the report of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Roihatul Muti'ah, SF., M.Kes., Apt., there were 103 students inaugurated, consisting of 57 graduates of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Program and 46 graduates of the Medical Education Study Program. In addition, there were also 3 best graduates from each study program, namely students who obtained a very good Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). The graduates were Zahra Umami with a GPA of 3.76, Tifany Maulida Candra with a GPA of 3.69, Dwi Puspita with a GPA of 3.66 from the Bachelor of Pharmacy study program and Hafshah Yasmina Abidah with a GPA of 3.81, Rislan Faiz Muhammad with a GPA of 3.73, Aldita Husna Violita with a GPA of 3.72 from the Medical Education Study Program.

The event also included the young doctors' pledge, represented by three medical students and attended by other students via Zoom, guided by Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yuenawati PW, M.Kes., Sp.Rad(K), the dean of FKIK. The young doctors' pledge was also witnessed online by the teaching hospitals of RS Class II dr. Soepraoen Malang and RSU Karsa Husada Batu.

At this moment, the FKIK Hymn and March were also officially sung for the first time. The song, composed by one of FKIK's lecturers, Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., was sung solemnly by the FKIK Al-Farabi Choir. At the end of the event, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Drs. H. Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi, M.Si., also congratulated the graduates of the pharmacy and medical degrees from UIN Maliki Malang.
