The 2016 Academic and Student Orientation (OPAK) for the medical education study program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Maliki Malang was held on August 18-20, 2016. OPAK FKIK was organized directly by lecturers and staff because FKIK only had its first batch of students. The 2016 OPAK FKIK program was designed with the concept of creating Muslim doctors with ulul albab characters.

In addition to being filled with academic and student materials delivered by FKIK lecturers, there were several invited speakers to provide knowledge input for new students of the 2016 medical education program. Prof. Dr. Imam Suprayogo delivered material on tarbiyatul ulul albab which explained the origins of the development of the ulul albab concept at UIN Malang. on the last day, a speaker from Level II Hospital dr. Soepraoen Malang, namely dr. Supriyanto, MARS as the Head of Level II Hospital dr. Soepraoen Malang explained clearly how the professional education process at RS. dr. Soepraoen Malang.

The 2016 FKIK OPAK activities were held with the concept of adult education so that there were no activities that involved bullying or violence, either physical or mental.
